My heart was broken before it was whole
Lost in thoughts, myred in sadness
"Help", I cry, yet none does come
"Help," I cry, and tears flow downward

There was love where there was none
A new love came before another was gone
Yet sadness still lingered, it drove her away
A new love lost with the one before

I hear her softly saying she still loves me so
Which her is it, I'm not quite sure
I open my eyes to see, but no one is there
It is just the wind, at least she loves me still

I broke it. I didn't mean to. I mean, who breaks things on purpose, unless they're not right. Maybe that's it. Maybe I'm just not right. all of my teachers used to say that. I even overheard one whisper to another that I was the "demon spawn." At six I didn't quite get that. Oh, but here I am at nine and I get it just fine. Yes I do.

Ahh, it's a shame, I quite liked that little trinket Grammy had brought me from Finland. It was all shiny and bright. It still is, all of the glass fragments strewn across the floor, but it's not quite the same. Should I clean it up. If Mama sees it she might beat me, as Grammy died only last week. That's the whole reason I had it; I miss Grammy. Her smile, no matter what I did, I would always get that smile. She didn't think I wasn't right.

Ahh well, where's the broom. Maybe Mama won't notice it missing from my dresser. Yeah right. That would be like Mama not lighting up a smoke or popping a pill when she gets stressed. Oh well, she'll get over it about, oh... never. See, Mama has this thing about me, she thinks I'm not right. Hehe, at least the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. My Grammy said there is one thing different about me and my Mama. She said I'm more mature than Mama ever was, and probably ever will be. She said I'm grown beyond my years. I don't quite understand what she meant, since I'm shorter than all of the other kids, but it sounds good.

Oh well, here little dust pan. Come here so I can take care of this stuff and then I can play with Sammy. Oh no, where is Sammy? I can't have him stepping on this glass. His little puppy paws will get all torn up. I'd better hurry and clean this up.

I walk, lonely in the night.
I look for my place, but I can't find it.
I look for someone to help.
I see no one around.
I look just to look.
I see nothing, Ia m alone.

You there, are you aware?
You have seen much.
You know little.
You call for my help.
You see that I have none to give.
You should see that I am alone.

He knows more than I.
He won't help.
He could if he wished to, unlike I.
He wants her, you want her, she wants me.
He hates me for it.
He should know I don't care, I am alone.

She is gorgeous, all men want her.
She knows I don't.
She thinks I'm a challenge.
She should realize as soon as I wanted her
She wouldn't want me.
She is naive, I am alone.

I wish I could find my way.
I wish I could find a real woman.
I really only want a true friend.
I would have everything I wanted in that.
I would be happy and I would see.
I am still alone.

By God, it's blue...

Postby SunSu » Tue Nov 12, 2002 1:37 pm

::I recently had a friend not of these boards what I've written lately. She noted that my writing was somewhat dark, and I have to agree with her. I think my writing is always somewhat dark, but recent events in my life, oh over the last 7 years, have made it so. I'm hoping to start a new trend and move to better writing. The "subject title is what popped into my head, and so I will start there, as all of my writing is improvisational. I have no idea what will come next as I write as you the reader has no idea as you read.::

"By God, it's blue," she exclaimed, and rightfully so. It was blue, actually, it was a bright blue. Bright and shiny and full of brilliance. No one could have expected it; no one would have. Yet, things happen, and the fact that it was blue, well, that defnitly had happened.

It was a fine, beautiful day. The skies were clear and bright blue, but of course, that was expected. The sky was supposed to be blue. The wind was just up enough to keep one cool without passing a chill through. The sun was bright and cheery and all of the animals were buzzing around taking care of their daily chorse. Mrs. Hathern was baking a fresh apple pie in her kitchen and the scent seemed to waft for miles. Everything was perfect, nothing was wrong in Potson that day. It was normal beautiful day.

Yet, what was it that made it blue? Dr. Sincel had no idea. He said the breathing was normal and that all vital signs were as expected. Dr. Sincel was very highly regarded. He'd been practicing for well over twenty-three years and everyone went to him. Everyone stood around just looking. It was only a matter of time before the news had spread all over town, and everyone had to take a look. As a matter of fact, Mr. Thaskel had to order food, as no one wanted to leave in case somethig happened. Being the small town it was, he happily obliged. He couldn't ask anyone to leave, that would be rude. As one person stated, "I really should go, I have errands to run" a reply came back, " And miss this? What if it changes colors?" That was the general consensus, and by midday people were arriving from every part of the county.

The others were all normal colors such as brown and black and a little bit of white. None had any hint of blue, especially the brilliant blue, anywhere in them. Everyone thought it was amazing and wonderful. It was the most beautiful sight they had ever seen. Mayor Ransun said that it would help bring tourists to the town. Everyone would want to see it and they could even center the town carnival around it. Of course, there were naysayers. Mrs. Pralen didn't like it at all. She said it wasn't natural. It was evil, as a matter of fact. Everyone looked at her sidelong, as she said that walking backwards was evil and that no one should eat after nine o'clock at night.

Then "they" started coming. "They" didn't belong. "They" looked at it as a scientific oddity and wanted to study it. "They" were given the cold shoulder and run out fairly quickly. It didn't take much, as this was a very tightly kniw community.

As dusk apporached, no one wanted to leave, but since nothing happened any different, they slowly left towards their own homes and chores. They would return for weeks and months to come, just to see it. All that stayed that night were Mr. Thaskel's three grandchildren, all beaming because they knew that they had a special part in its life. Of course, they were happy for the others too, as Grandpa Thaskel had promised one to each of them. lt was a lucky thing that there were four, because Mr. Thaskel would have a hard time deciding who would get the special one. All of his Grandchildren were special to him.

Dr. Sincel was the last to leave. He told Mr. Thaskel that everything should be fine. He said that in all his years as a veterinarian, he had never heard of anything like it, much less seen it. Mr. Thaskel smiled becasue he knew that he'd been given a gift. He hoped he was wise enough to do the right thing with it. As he sat by the fire, the children playing and sneaking glances in the box, Mr. Thaskel was glad. "It's time for bed," he told the children. With a small sigh, they each took one last look and headed up the stairs. As he tucked each in and kissed them good night, Emily asked a simple question. Emily was barely four and had the bright eyed exuburance of any four year old with the curiousity to match. "Grandie, what's his name? He's such a pretty puppy?"

Mr. Thaskel sat and thought for a moment, but he didn't need to think, as he already knew. "Blue, my dear, Royal Blue, as you can tell he has the touch of kings."

Only As Lonely As You Let It Seem

Postby SunSu » Tue Nov 19, 2002 9:30 pm

I walk, lonely, into the night
I look for solace, and there I find it
Where, you ask, where do I find it?
I find it within, the night only helps

I am lonely, but it is no one I need
A companion I would love, but I can live without
I have a companion all around, as God has given
I have a companion in the birds, the trees, the sunset over the Mississippi

I am thankful for what I have, as I have much
I have family and friends and the world to admire
I am thankful for it all, as I will be every day
I say thank you once again, for that which seems little is so very much.

The door opened slowly, but nothing could be seen in the doorway. It was an old door, roughly hewn of oak. It hung a little crooked yet as it opened it didn't make a sound. It just stood ajar for some time, not opening or closing. There was no wind, but even if there were it was obvious the door would be too heavy for it to push it. Johnny looked for ages at the door; scared to move yet knowing if he didn't he would surely get caught. He sensed something; he just wasn't sure what it was.

Johnny was no more than twenty-five and fairly handsome. He had dark hair that was just long enough to get in his eyes, but shaped neatly over his ears and neck. His eyes were a light green, the type that made a person stop when they looked into them. He was average height and build, but there was a sureness about him that could intimidate even the boldest of beings.

Johnny wasn't feeling so sure right now, though. He also sensed It was getting closer. He just didn't know what was at that door. Whatever he sensed, it was alone at the door. Something or somebody else was lurking in other parts of the compound. He didn't know if they were friend or foe, but he was too weak to take a chance. He hoped they would just go away.

"Hey," a raspy voice said, "I know you're in there. Come out, nothing will happen to you, I promise." Johnny wasn't so sure, but could he take the chance not to. It was getting closer, he sensed It. He was the last thing in the way of Its ascendance to power. If Johnny were gone, it would rule all. Johnny slowly rose and walked to the door. He was sure not to make any noise as he did. It didn't matter, the door swung open swiftly and a small gnome stood in the door. A gnome wouldn’t have worried Johnny normally, but this one held one of the Keys of Ascension. In the hands of even the weakest they could be deadly.

Johnny stood still and waited for the gnome to make it move. It didn't, instead it spoke. "I am Arod of Sakghz Clan. I would like to ask for your help for my people. We are in peril of damnation. The One has chosen our Clan to be his servants. We resist, but it is futile. He knows that we have this key. He wants it from us, but our elders have been able to hide its location. We don't know how much longer we can so I was sent to seek you out. Please take the Key. You are the only hope."

Johnny couldn't think clearly. The Keys of Ascension were not meant to come to him. They were too powerful. He was too powerful. Even one Key in his hands could be too much. Johnny was about to reply, but he knew it was too late. It was here. Arod spun in fear and let out a high-pitched scream. The One looked at him, but didn’t even notice. Its gaze locked in the Key and a foul slow hiss emitted from its maw. It moved forward swiftly to grab the key, but then stopped dead in its tracks. It had spotted Johnny.

This wasn't there first encounter. Johnny had barely escaped each time before, but he had been stronger then. Now he had been on the run for months and couldn't muster much strength. It looked from the Key to Johnny. It couldn't take the chance of losing either, but if It moved to one, It knew the other would disappear. As it looked slowly back and forth, a small band of gnomes approached from behind. Johnny knew what they were doing. It would be futile; they couldn't win. He knew why. It wasn't the first time that others had sacrificed themselves for him. He wished he wasn't The Chosen.

It noticed them as well. They attacked. Arod threw the key at Johnny and leapt upon The One. He was torn to shreds before he landed. Twenty other gnomes met their fate the same way. They didn't die in vain. Johnny slipped away to safety, but only barely. As he left he could hear It feeding. That was its main weakness. It had to feed on its kill. That was all that had let Johnny escape so many times before. Johnny moved swiftly, he knew Its army wouldn't be far behind. It only moved slightly quicker than Its ilk.

Friends

Postby SunSu » Fri Dec 06, 2002 9:49 am

Lonely nights, silence unbroken
Time everlasting, no hope in sight
Yet hope is ever present, in your smile
Just a word from your lips lifts my spirit ever higher

Time moves slowly, never ending
Tears run freely, an ugly sight
Yet joy is ever present, in your touch
Just a brush of your hand lifts my worries away

Burdens unbearable, travesties incomprehensible
Heavy heart, chained soul
Yet joy is ever present, in your love
Just you being my friend lifts me to become a friend in return

Desire

Time to be a man
A man for all times and ages
Look for existance

Break my silence now
Why can I not find my will
A bird soars freely

The house sits rock solid
Shrouded by the tree of life
Can a mind break free

Candy tempation
A child desires longingly
All life is fleeting

I Love Her

Postby SunSu » Mon Dec 16, 2002 11:06 am

I love her, but does she know why
Does she realize that my heart is hers alone
Does she desire what I offer, or is it for naught
I wait for her, because she is worth it.

Life is full of bad dreams and awful tendencies
Patience is something learned and worth the wait
She is what I want in all of life
Will it ever happen, who is to say

I call her, she does not answer for longer than I may bear
When will she finally come to me, Will she ever come to me
I hope someday she shall, for my life will be at peace if she does
My life will be whole and complete for the first time

Time since I've known her I have not been the same
I catch a glimpse of her and my heart skips a beat
Sometimes it doesn't catch again, it just seems to stop
Life without her in it may come, but I hope I never see it

I move through shadows, slowly I find my way
I move alone, but I have a goal to lead me on
If she never wants me like once she said she did, it will be a shame
I will live life happily though, knowing she is part of me

Mother Fuckers

Postby SunSu » Thu Dec 19, 2002 12:11 am

Ok, so ICQ wouldn't let me send this shit because of some 450 character bullshit.

Ok, so it's a long time since I did this, but fuck ya'all if ya dont' like it.
Here I sit, on the edge of time
Long as time may seem
I once thought I understood what life was about
A fool I was to think
I sit there wanting, desiring more
but it will never come
So I stick out my tongue and blow a raspberry
Now I wait for the morning sun.
Fuck life, although it still seems to be there
Fuck all of ya'all (fucking southern culture)
Thanks for being there anyway.

It had stanze spacing and shit, but fuck it. Who cares. Obviously she doesn't.

Christmas Alone

Postby SunSu » Wed Dec 25, 2002 11:14 pm

It's hard to wake to an empty house
No children giggling with glee at the sight they see
It's hard to walk through a house alone
The only "Merry Christmas" is from yourself to the mirror

It's hard to look and see no tinsel, no ornament, no tree
What is the point when it would only be you there then too
It's hard to smile when you know that there will be nothing special to eat
There won't be any turkey or ham, no yams or cranberry sauce

It's hard to want to go anywhere
It's hard to desire any well wishes
It's hard to smile at all
It's so hard to spend Christmas alone.

When all you know is hurt, its hard to know anything else.

When all you know is destruction, its hard to know how to build.

When your life is built on poison, its hard to try and heal.

When you say that you have no heart, its hard to pretend you have one.

When you are hollow, its hard to see a reflection.

But when some thing or some one makes you better, you cling to it. You cling to it like the last memory that you will ever have, like the last breath you will ever take.

Because when you lose it, what are you, where are you going, who will you become.

Because if you are dark, you need to look for light, for if you do not find it, pain will always be in your path.

But what if you can not feel the pain yourself?

What if you can never understand hurt?

How do you know what happiness is, if you do not know the opposite.

How do you know what life is, if you are hollow.

What if your entire life rested on one thing, one person, one hope, one love.

And what if that love stops, it dies, it ends.

Where do you go, who do you turn to...

When you say that they save you, when you say that they make you better, when you say that they are the only thing that can fix you...

When they leave, do you go back to what you were?

What if you truely are not good, what if there are people that are dark...

What if I am dark...

Im so tired of being dark, Im so tired of being poison, Im so tired of ruining everything I touch, Im so tired of hurting those who care, Im so tired...

I dont want to hurt you, I dont want to, but I have to, I have to if you let me close...

It is who I am, it is what I am.

For there are some of us who emit light, and there are others who steal that light.

I just want one more chance...

But does darkness deserve another chance?

Even if we try to change can we?

Or has fate dealt me the card of pain, pain for all those who care, all those who try to get close.

I will make you hurt, because that is the only thing that is real.

Teach me the other way, I want to learn so bad...

I just dont think I can.

That's good Mav. Why you posted it in my thread I do not know, but that is ok. As I ICQ'd you, you now have to discuss and analyze it with me. That is all I ask.

For Dawn

The dawn of a new day erupts in fire
Flames from the Sun licking every surface
They burn away the old tarnished night
The dawn of a new day erupts in rejuvenation

The past slips away without our knowing
The future looms before us fleeting, foreboding
Within the present we live trying to figure out what we are
The past slips away without our permission

Fire envelopes the past and transforms it
The Sun shows the path to the future
The present grows up out of the shadows
Fire envelopes the past and brings us peace today.

Uncertainty

I see something in the distance
It's beauty is beyond any I have ever seen
I grab for it and realize it is her
She that I have always looked to be mine

She smiles, her eyes sparkle and glint
I fall for her, knowing that she is what I want
Wait, is she like the others will she hurt me
I hold her hand, but I dare not pull her close

I see her return a smile and see interest in those eyes
Yet she turns her head and will not hold my eye
She holds my hand though, tightly
She feels as I do, wanting more but does she dare

We talk, we laugh, we dance, we make love
Together the world seems to be ours
We both want each other equally, more than anything
We feel the same, but we are both so scared

I take a step to her, she steps away
She steps to me, I step away
I step to her, she stands still
She steps to me, we meet

I hold her tight and will never let go
She holds back and a tear flows down her cheek
I know why, I feel the same
The chance of hurt is too great

Yet, I will take my chance, because she is wonderful
She will take her chance with me as well
We hold each other and enjoy the present.
We hold each other and will try for our future as best we can

Hop, hop little grasshopper
Green you are today. Why?
What do you do grasshopper?
What do you say grasshopper?

Grasshopper, stay. Don't leave yet
We have much to say
We have much to learn
Stop Now!

Why do you not listen grasshopper?
I told you I was the boss, grasshopper
Stop playing your games!
You are like all the others grasshopper

I will do you like I did the others, grasshopper
I will kill you like all the others
I will make you wish you were never born!

For Dawn

Postby shigee » Sun Jun 29, 2003 12:20 am

Hey.

Well, you know that I was not on Evernight when you wrote this, however as I revisited it, I felt that I ought to respond to it again; this time in a different fashion. What is it about? Well, it's about the past being gotten over and starting fresh again. It's about things getting better as time passes and new things blossoming around you. You are at a turning point in your life right now, many choices ahead that seem to be looming over you. Where do you go? Well only you can decide that. What is best for you? Again, only you know. Don't pressure yourself though, feeling as though by Monday you should have all of your choices made, all of your thoughts decided. Though you seem not to see it, you're a very strong and intelligent individual. You do have your shortcomings (no, won't go into them, don't worry!), but all in all, you're going to make it, whatever you do. Don't punish yourself any longer for things that have happened in the past, you're better than you were and will end up great and happy. All that you strive for in life is possible, and I'm sure that you'll see.
I'm glad that I met you. I might still be a pessimest (sp), but I've gotta admit that your lecturing at me has gotten to me in how I look at things...... (Long story short... take your time with your decisions about career, school etc.... you will do fine no matter what you do, and have friends that will be there for you along the way.)

On that note, you should have just gotten off of work now and will be yelling at me for not being asleep... so I'm going to sneak offa here and pretend to be in dreamland!!!

Time and Distance

This warm and lovely feeling,
So deep inside me grows
With every time I talk to you,
My spirit simply glows.

The gentle tone of your voice,
Your accent soft and calm,
I long to be there by your side,
To languish in your arms.

Every time, I hear your voice,
I mellow to the sound
Feeling ever closer
Then my heart begins to pound.

What is this powerful spell that you,
Cast upon my soul,
It would seem my total life
Is under your control.

I willingly surrender
To this felicitatious dream
And hope reality, slender,
Will enter to this scheme,

But time and distance 'tween us,
This union won’t allow
One day, my dear, we shall meet again
To you I make this vow.

Succumbing to your tender charms,
Praying no more to part,
I shall offer you my open arms
So you receive my heart.

Unfortunate to say, I didn't write this one. I was going to post what I wrote, but this one was right on the spot. It seemed rather appropriate for the moment.

This is a story I wrote for an event competition. It need to be edited for typos, but I will do that another time.

http://www.evernight.com/boards/canon/viewtopic.php?t=1915

Ohhhh K! See, Im a siyin har. Yah, me..siyin har, an I wan a drin.

::I was a lonely night for Saint Nick. His reindeer had just quit after hundreds of years, and the old lady said he was, well, not any good in bed anymore. All of the elves were gone as well, yelling about labor laws and inadequate wages. Most were selling crack in large cities around the world and pimping out some hos as well.::

I ha faled my fe..::hiccup:: fe..::hiccup:: fela man. I am no gud to anywa. I thik I shud en it nowww.

::Saint Nick slowly rose from teh ground where he had sat for several hours drinking a bottle of grape M/D 20/20. He looked around for his hat and coat, but remembered, somehow, that he had given to that cute little redhead with the big melons a week a go in Paris. Now here he was, in Cincinatti, and he had lost everything. Saint Nick ambled over to the nearest gutter and prepared to throw himself into the sewer when he heard a faint whistle. A small little high pitched, but very seet and melodic voice began to sing.::

Poor Santa Claus, you have lost your way
Please don't go, for the little children pray
They need you soon, for Christmas is near
And my little ass can't make their presents appear.

::Santa, as all of his dear friends called him, looked up and saw the Tooth Fairy sitting on a lamp post. No, it was nothing pornographic, she was her tiny size because she had just given 5 bucks to the Childers kid for his front tooth he knocked out while trying to get his lolli-pop out of the toilet. porcelain can do a doozy on ones teeth.::

Wujja doin up there babee? I han't seen yu sinze we had our ron..ron..metin in JamaIKa. Tha wuz quite a fuggin you gav me.

::The Tooth Fairy, aka Trixie, floated down to Santa and landed right in front of him. With a wave of her wand she was "life size."::

Santie Wantie, I'v emissed you. You can't let all of this get you down, The world needs you and your presents. Your everything.

::Santa stared for a moment, then he lifted his gaze from Trixie's breasts.::

Who neds Sanda?

::Trixie smiled, flicked her hair and licked her lips.::

I do Santie, like I've always needed you. But..

::Trixie turned and seductivly walked a few paces away. SAnta watched her walk with rapt attention.::

you can't have me until you do your other duty.

::Santa sobered up quite quickly with that. He adjusted his pants for obvious reasons and was ready to rock. Then he stopped.::

But, Trix, my sleigh, I have no reindeer. There are no toys, the elves stopped making them months ago. I only have drug paraphanelia and sex toys in there.

::Trix smiled::

Want some fairy dust big boy? It will do the job like none other.

::Santa smiled, it was tiem to rock. He and Trix walked hand and hand to the end of the street. With a wave of her wand they were both out of sight.::

I hear him Mommy.

::Jimmy was so excited, Santa was there, at his home. He ran downstairs to catch him and see Santa for himself. He made it to the bottom of the landing and looked in astonishment at all of the presents under the tree. Jimmy sped to the tree but stopped abruptly a few feet from it.::

Watch out Mama.

O.K, I got it.

Mama, why was that roach I just stepped on wearing a red suit?

Substance

Postby SunSu » Mon Sep 08, 2003 2:28 pm

Wrote this for a friend the other day:

The wind called to the stars,
"Oh won't you come down and play?"
The stars wistfully replied,
"Not as long as there is day."

"I promise I won't be mean, little stars,"
Said the wind in a calm, soothing voice.
"We believe you wind, although mischevious you be,"
Replied the stars, "although, when we come is our choice."

The wind was beginning to grumble and rumble,
Thunder and lightning joined in with it's temper.
The stars just giggled and laughed, for their friend was the moon
All know that the weather is lunar and thus can hamper.

The wind did not calm, a frenzy did he make,
He huffed, puffed and blew, but to no avail.
The stars felt sorry for him, for he must be lonely,
Yet, they did not travel downward, earthward they did not sail.

Finally, they wept, for the wind was gone,
He had blown himself to nothing, gone from existance.
The stars were sad, for he was their friend,
But they also found out that some friends were not made of true substance.

Inspiration

Postby SunSu » Mon Sep 15, 2003 8:25 pm

I awake to a day that is dark and gray
I hear the birds sing, and I wish to be a part of their world
Time stands still in my mind
Yet it passes me by
Only my mind is standing still

Grief, torment, tragedy, desperation, heart break
All have torn me to mental shreds
Hear my cry, yet alone it is
Who will hear me in the end
All alone

It is not true, just illusion
Or is really disillusion, one cannot know
For he that loses his way has only himself to blame
Yet he who loses his way cannot always find his own way out
That is where you come in

Scratching, clawing, seeking, finding, seeing
The end of the tunnel is near
Finally I will break into the light
And there I will find the reason why I have broken out
That is also, where you come in

It was not that I couldn't really find my way
It is that I don't know that I wanted to
What was really at the end of that tunnel to fear
Nothing, life is what you want of it
That, again, is where you come in

Who Am I?

Postby SunSu » Mon Sep 15, 2003 8:26 pm

I am one that lives in one life and yearns for another,
I wish to see the world changed, better, or maybe a different world.
A romantic I am, a learner, a thinker, an adventurer.
In other times I would have traveled the oceans and new lands exploring,
I would have enjoyed the world for what it was devoid of the greed and violence of Man.

Of course, even that is not true, for there are men everywhere that is seen,
There are those with good hearts and sound minds, those are the men I would meet.
A philosopher I am, a statesman, a counselor, a best friend.
In other times I might have been any of those, and in this time I could still,
It seems that often I am a little of some of those I have mentioned, not as often as I'd like.

I wish for a world in which the care for another is greater than the care for self,
I am a man that wishes to honestly see peace and harmony and work toward it in my own small way.
A dreamer I am, a writer, a poet, an artist.
In other times I might have been lucky enough to be able to accomplish what I see,
In this time it is still possible I can accomplish those and many more.

I want to learn, to see, to experience all that there is in life,
I know that often the best way to do that is to see it from the eyes of others as well.
A deep soul I am, a caregiver, a intellectual, a compassionate human being.
In other times I might have done more with these traits that I carry,
I will strive to do my best to use them in these times now.

The biggest thing about me is my heart and my sincerity,
I truly want to help others and see good in the world, to help bring it out.
A lover I am, a patient man, a true man, an honest man.
In other times I would have been these as well, and I would be proud as I am today,
It wasn't always so, I had to work and learn to let these qualities be me, and now they are.

Contradiction

Postby SunSu » Mon Dec 22, 2003 11:45 pm

I can not sleep
Yet neither can I wake
I can not feel
But neither can I not be.
The earth moves too fast
It feels like I stand still
I can not see
Yet I am not in the dark
I am surrounded by poeple
But I feel so alone
I wish for inner peace
All there is is turmoil

Fight for life

Postby SunSu » Wed Dec 24, 2003 12:33 am

Silence never ending hits the door with pleasure
Dragon's bane in devil's breath with no end in sight
Knights fight for valor on a field full of shame
Heartless are the queens they fight for

Overrun by destiny blighted by good intentions
Seeming to find glory in the trivial acts of carnal desire
No one understands the wisest of the elders
Every one loses sight of that which pulls all forth

Blood cakes the legs of virgins that will never feel love
Babes wail in happiness when their cruel nannies disappear
Cats purr in malevolence as they lick the blood of those for who they were cared
Dogs growl in pleasure at the death of their masters

Why all of this contradiction in a world that is supposed to care
Who finds the way in a world that turns a blind eye
Where does anyone find salvation among so much that is wrong
Will I succumb to that which is ill or persevere through

Dark Skies Mean Little to a Warm Smile

Postby SunSu » Mon Dec 29, 2003 1:48 pm

Some days the sun rises unknown
Dark skies weigh ominous and foreboding
No light, no hope, all despair we see
We get lost in the darkness and crouch and cower

The sun fights to shine through those thick clouds
Yet why if we are not fighting in expecting its return
Look for the silver lining of the clouds above
Remember those that bring light are always waiting to shine through

A new day dawns with vanquished water
Just mist and vapor and tricks to the mind
The sun smiles upon a glorious day
In so it reminds that it is always there.
