If you would like to join please go here and read it over as well as the IC thread before posting a character bio and beginning your story.

I'd also like the players already signed up in this to post if they are still with us.

I would like to join in if possible.

Name: Nell
Race: Human
Age: 18
Hair: deep brown, tied back
Eyes: green
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 120

Character/Appearance: Although she can appear slight of frame, Nell is used to physical exercise and has ridden horses since she was old enough for her father to lift her onto the back of a pony. She is often found smiling and laughing, having only experienced what can be described as an easy life. She wears elegant clothing, having out grown the tom boy years, but is level headed enough not to be vain. After enduring a childhood of being compared to an imp by her family, she is now maturing into a young woman with the beauty of her mother becoming obvious. At times she can seem introspective, but avoids appearing as such due to chiding by friends for being a day-dreamer.

History: Brought up in a warm and happy family environment, she has yet to settle down to any useful work or relationship. Her family are comfortably well off, owning land and farms which make a small estate. No tragedies, no mishaps, so far an ordinary life.

Current location: Escorting her younger brother (much to his chagrin), aged 15, to a nearby academy where he hopes to be accepted and trained as a warrior.

That's fine. Alfred is a NPC and if you want to RP him as part of your posts that is okay by me, if it helps you move forward. Not too worried what happens to him as long as he isn't bumped off.

No, no intent for that. I just made an easy way for some players to start their characters off on the fighting path.

I infact encourage people to do their own thing for a while just to get the feel of their new characters and to perhaps get a few plot lines within their heads that will link from things at the start of the posting to solve things at the end.

Nell, you can control Alfred and the servant, I don't mind.

Name: Cymrych Hugh
Age: 18
Eye color: brown
Hair color: brown
Skin color: light tan
Height: 6'1"
Cloths: Cymrych wears a blue shirt and trousers with a black belt. He is most times adorned with a cape of red silk. He wears calf high leather boots and much resembles a flamboyant swashbuckler.
Build: Cymrych is of average height, build, and appearance.
History: Cymrych was born the son of a wealthy noble. He grew up learning the ways of beauacrocy. He is well schooled and has impecible manners. Upon completing a course in Horse Riding, Cymrych discovered that his father was not the honorable nobleman he had thought him to be. His father extorted money from the local populace and was generally considered a meiser by most of his friends families. Not being able to bare the truth about his dad, Cymrych decided to head out on his own. He would make something of himself without the aide of his corrupt father. So, snatching a money sack and a diamond studded rapier his father had hanging on the wall, Cymrych set off in search of his own destiny.
Current location: In between cities on a road.

Nell, I am gonna write up a post when I get to school tomorrow, I am to tired atm.

You can make another post if you want, which would actually be better, cause it will keep the thread at the top and running. Sorry about not having a post ready, I have been a bit busy of late.

Yeah keep it going. I have a ton of stuff I need doing and a few thousand threads I Mod in this other Game called Alleria. I am an AGM there and so its a big commitment seeing as how my GM wants me to do most of the military stuff.

But I ant gonna complain. I will post when I can, but I give you permission to Role Play Clyde if you need to.

If your unsure as to how to play him, then think along this line. He is honorable, doesn't have an ego, thinks little of himself but more of everyone else and he has a crush of Nell. When talk of his parents comes up he gets very defencive and oftern choises not to answer the questions and walks off.

Other then that, you can basically have him react to stuff the same way as Nell does.

You can use Dorek and Clyde's Servant to.

Sorry about this.

No problems, Harthar. I'm enjoying writing this one as it's giving me an opportunity to develop a character who was a bit rootless before. Maybe others who took an interest will post more. I'll take care of Clyde and not do anything out of his character.

And when you do post, it is worth the wait. Am going to edit my last post if I still can so it fits in.

Yeah, I can keep a thread going if it interests me. Kinda persistant in that respect. Would be happy to join any thread you suggest.

Actually I joined this one because I saw you started it and have noticed that you are the persistant type too.

I am rather persistant, but its a good trait when in TB because sometimes people don't post for ages if at all... *whistles innocently*

Anyways, I usually do what I just did then and make one huge catch up post to make up for not having the smaller posts.

Ok Here is a new rule, it will not be worded as a rule but it still is one.

Gaining skills and abilities to better enable a player to make headway in life. However, we also need to do so in a realistic fashion that makes logical sense. That is where this essay comes into place.

There are 5 levels of proficiency, mirroring the 5 levels of arcane mastery. They are basic, intermediate, advanced, expert, and master. Increased levels of proficiency lead to an ability to perform more complex tasks, or better performance of lower skilled tasks.

A special task must be accomplished to reach master level of any skill. This is a great display of skill and devotion that must be moderated by a GM and is of great difficulty to accomplish. It is in essence a major quest that the PC must complete.

More advanced training should be exponentially more complex and thus, longer. So, if basic training was 10 days, intermediate should be 20 days, advanced should be 40 days, and so forth. Lengthening is done, not by simply learning more, but by having PCs fail assigned tasks in class, or not quite getting them right. It may take, for example, a whole cycle before a student masters the art of forging a sword in dwarven steel. As you can see, it is easy to acquire a broad range of basic knowledge, but very difficult to acquire mastery of more than one.

May I join?

Name: Jerin Terradoc
Racke: Human
Age: 16
Hair: Dark Blonde
Eyes: Grey
Height: 6'0"

Clothes: Rough brown homespun
Appearance: Tall and gangly, but potentially handsome.
History: Jerin was born into a family of shepherds. His father and two older brothers embraced the family legacy, but Jerin was more interested in the tales of his great uncle, the black sheep of the family (please excuse the pun), who had been a traveling mercenary. So, when Jerin turned 16 he told his father he wanted to become a warrior as well. His father objected, and after a large fight, banished Jerin.
Current Location: On the plains, heading for parts unknown.

d also like to join this one.
Name: Sërk Talstrom
Race: Human
Age: Unknown, most would say late teens
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'6"
Skin: White

Appearance: Dirty, disheveled being. Extremely ugly, face. Messy hair, ridden with dandruff. His clothes used to be hues of yellow and white, but have been reduced to filthy, excrement covered rags, giving him the constant company of flies.
History: Having lived on the streets for at least a third of his life, Sërk has been forced to adapt as best he can, his source of income usually consists of being paid to move away, other than that he steals, lies and cheats his way through life. Despite his appearance he is a wily character, and an excellent orator, though his usual audience, the flies, are none too appreciative.

Don't want to go on forever here. Let me know whether im in!
