He watched as the guards dragged more bodies over and threw them onto the pyre. His men had performed beautifully, and what began as a retreat quickly became an ambush, and finally, as massacre of the heathens. The defense of his realm was successful, but also quite exhausting.
“I’ll be in my quarters. Instruct the men to be ready to march at dawn.”
He and his closest advisors all knew that he would not sleep tonight, just as any other night…the nightmares and memories of his fallen comrades never left his mind’s eye, tormenting him constantly. He knew the only way to finally get some rest in this life was to silence them, and of course, the only way to do that was to avenge them.
He was once a righteous knight, riding into battle for glory and his faith, but now his only purpose in life was to kill the heathens responsible for the death of his friends, his mentors. He could not rest until his task was complete – those lost souls would make sure of it.
“Sire! Quickly!” His closest aide came galloping towards him, stricken and white-faced with fear.
“Forgive me sir, but scouts have spotted another enemy army marching over the hillside! They outnumber us greatly!”
He grinned at such good news. “It seems they just can’t get enough blood, can they...ready our troops, my good friend! It’s going to be a helluva night..”

Squad Leader: Killer

This is a new guild.
TB Rules:
1. Do not make an ass of yourself
2. Do not post bug reports on the boards, over ICQ, or in IRC, unless specifically asked to by staff.
3. Do not spam or post redundant messages.
4. Do not post kingdom numbers or kingdom names on the boards.
5. Pornography, piracy, or other illegal material is not allowed.
6. Do not post links or advertisements to hate or anti-Evernight sites. This includes racial, ethical, or sexually related sites.
7. Do not post accusations of cheating on the boards.
The GM always has final say, but in practice, all members of the guild are allowed to voice their opinions. In the event that the GM disappears, it’s up to the guild as a whole to decide on a new one.
There will only be three ranks in Shade.
1. GM – The Shade. Leader of the guild. Pretty much, the buck stops here.
2. AGMs – Lesser Shades. Trusted members of the guild. Represent the guild in all their actions, especially on the boards.
3. New Member – Spirits. The recruits. Not trusted, so technically they don’t have any say. This is meant to be a temporary position; either you’ll be promoted quickly, or you probably don’t fit well.
The only significant promotion is from Spirit to Lesser Shade. What’s most important is to prove your loyalty to the guild, and your trustworthiness to all the members – not just the GM.
Demotions will be rare, and only under extreme circumstances. As said above, all the members of this guild will have complete trust, and if that trust is violated, you’re probably going to get booted.
Decisions for promotions and demotions will largely be decided on by the guild as a whole.
All are free to apply to Shade. Be sure to contact the GM with your past experience, guilds you’ve served in, as well as your own contact information.
