..stalks of long grass were fading from vision to memory and the tormenting suns grogginess in the comfort of far off clouds had signaled the hour of rest. The natural barrier between this little known society and the world outside was astoundingly rugged, the citys' grandeur was diminished contentiously by its location in a deep valley in which only the most stubborn of light entered. The city was imbued with darkness and seemed to cajole it even from the heavy light that shown on the fields that feed its citizenry. Yet there was no gloom, no brooding overtones of spirit. As if time had frozen at the hour the sun had set and let rise to the moon and stars. Indeed it was as if the decadence of the heavens took sole ownership of the sky and of our dreams. Its gentle embrace imparts in us not of the ills darkness is perceived to invite but of the majesty of thought and dreams which cannot be sprung from the loins of the suns oppressive dominion. For there is is more beauty found as darkness encumbers us than any light can illuminate. For in darkness are not the praises sought for glory and acclaim, but in it the true nature of ourselves revealed. That which the light aides in camouflage with color and shade the darkness reveals without fervor of prejudice . And thus we invite it, if only to find in it the kinship with freedom men long have forgone. If only to see our foe more clearly without illusions of sight. If only to cherish the moonlight as it cares for a world abandoned by the sun and persuades us to be better men. In darkness shall we move and in darkness shall we grow.
..Grow in order to assure our existence without the mind being confined by order or tradition or decadence of material things. We shall kill good men and men born of swine alike for our cause, and we shall restore balance and in doing so restore in the hopes of our children a freedom unrestrained by the preachings of false prophets of gods long forgotten. For they encroach still on our hills and valleys like a plague of locusts. They must come no closer with their fanaticism and numbing ideals of righteousness. They must stay at arms length and there shall we deal them the hardest blows when within that reach, and shall they stumble back and be driven of their ambition here.
This fight cannot be halted and it cannot be forgotten by those whom we fight for. We fight for existence in a world usurped by the confinement of thought and dignity. We must however realize the good in the outside world, we must let the arts of the oppressed grant us graciousness in our freedoms, we must recognize that tradition, while to blindly follow is foolish, to cast away like used mules is folly. That order has its place in every society, but it must not be too boastful. For the hand that holds the flame of liberty can itself extinguish it with rapacious grasp. There is much good in the world and may we take those good virtues and embed them in our society to make it all the better, but may we continue with our own identity, may we continue with our own preeminence of freedom and may we not stagger should the world invite upon us the opportunity to defend it.
