Post Regulations of Reality (MFR vs DR)
He was quite pleased, sitting back against one of the few unharmed trees in an area which would soon become a shrine for those whose lives were lost. Beyond, in the valley city beneath him, his men were clearing out the heathens. Most did not bear arms, and after the vicious slaughter only an hour before, no survivor had training. Liberating this realm had been easy, and it would continue into the night. By dawn, the land's flag would be burning, replaced by that of Quonotae's. The heathens would find themselves a nice cave to die in, and Foret's chosen would soon inhabit Quonotae's freshest lands.

His mood changed slightly as a scout galloped up the hill on a stolen horse.

"MiLord! There is a gathering at the south border! Heathens, dozens of them! They've armed themselves with whatever they might have found! Your orders, Sir?"

He stood up, and looked into the scout's eyes carefully. His mood grew dark and angry.

"You come to me with this garbage? You have witnessed a realm's annihilation in the most complete and total way, and you come to me asking what I want to do? You are to personally execute the heathens, and if you fail, the entire army is to finish the job, despite your failure. Do not come to me again with these kinds of questions. They make my army seem pathetic without my leadership. Now go."

His cool eyes glanced back up to the east, the sun was rising. He leaned back against the tree and sat, waiting for the troubles to really begin.

[OOC ~ These were conveniently left out of the initial post:
MAXIMS FINEST REGULATORS (MFR )13 4,753,024 365,617
DEMONIC REALITY (DR) 12 2,489,089 207,424
Difference: 1 2,263,935 158,193
Taken 10 minutes after war button was hit. /OOC]

Standing there at the front of her armies, staring at the panting messenger as it replayed the news. Incredable news, that MFR had stuck them, a guild with less numbers and less net worth. Both in total, as a guild, and personal..as individuals. The message held crumpled in her hand. The GM of MFR had assumed they DR was going to hit them and justified his poor strike with this assumption. However, assumption is the Queen Mother of Fuckups..Maxims Finest Regulators had acted in a shameful manner and had struck as cowards in a bid for land. Turning to Sabian. Alert our allies that the strike upon the warrior bitch will have to wait. It appears Foret's finest had just hit a weaker guild. They must be so proud of this. Bring forth the amries, gather the members of DR and prepare to fight these cowards. Amazing how he read my mind..I shall have to learn that trick. The very FACT he justifies with a guess just sickens me.

Gone was the respect they had earned from her. So much for honor amid heathens.

It seemed like the Demonic Dardens couldn't accept Reality, that they were hit before they could be the hitters. It was only a matter of time before it would happen, and MFR wasn't going to let that happen to night. There were a few scouts that had been caught in the lands of Nitemare. Some heads were severed, while others narrowly escaped death. None the less, they were mostly from DR and allies.

No one cried unfair about that when the heathens trampled on his and his brethren's lands, not even having the decency to say "Thank You."?! Now they cry to their god and ask him "Why?" They claimed to be weaker... but weaker in what sense? Faith probably?

Right now Nitemare didn't have anytime to deal with the senseless winings and the countless screams of this war being unjustified! MFR was just doing what would have been done unto them eventually. It was time to fight for their dignity! It was time to fight for their honor! It was time to fight for Foret! Restore Foret's name back to Maxim! Make his name send the other faiths running in fear whenever the name was uttered or the colors were flown. Dignity and Honor you might now ask?! Yes! Those are the words associated with Foret. Just like they had the dignity and honor to trample on our lands with no sort of gratitude and farewells!

Nitemare's silver flags were covered with the red blood of the heathens. The first wave had gone well. The second wave was underway. Who would suffer next under the hands of MFR, the so called cowards?! It's amazing when one defends themselves they are called cowards. And those that run, hide, and look for all excuses are looked at as heroes!

Well, prepare, because the cowards are coming in full force!

It appeared, that once again, the Regulators had grown too big for their britches, regardless of the Darden influence among the powers of the land.

Jans scowled.

Quote:
To MFR - Officers and all else.

I am disappointed, once again, by MFR's decisions in the area of foreign policy. I remember not too long ago when you got up the gall to hit the Republic at an advantage, thinking us to be easy prey to your predatory manner. Now, it seems that the same thing you did then, you have now done to the members of the Demonic Reality alliance. This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

Look around you MFR, you are stuck in the middle of foreign land. Though your own strength is considerable, you are greatly overmatched by my Darden bretheren. INCA is tied down, so they could not come to your solace. Should we, the powers of Darden, wish it, you could be in utter shambles by morning with no one to hear your cries. I doubt that NV would be predisposed to hear your pleas for help, as they have as little love for Foret as we.

I give you one option, and you only two choices in regards to this option: comply with it, or be destroyed. Convince me why your hit on DR was fair, and do so quickly. I tire of your attempts to dodge my inquiries, as have already occurred as I have investigated this event with the help of my fellow Chairmen. If you convince me, then I will let you continue as such, with the warning that if you hit Darden forces at disadvantage again in the future, there will be retribution. Fail to comply, you will be brought to your knees by myself in the least and my faith at the most. This is not an idle threat or petty scare tactic, this is a promise. Heed my words well, or reap the harvest you have sown for yourselves.

This is your fair warning, I expect your contact within the next 24 hours. Remember what the Republic did to you when we were at defensive disadvantage, and see what we did to IOM recently. We will do even more, should you give us reason.

The reports poured in. Maxims Finest Regulators had become Maxims Feeblest Regulators. Indeed the hit had been anything but fair. The justification? Apparently Demonic Reality intended to hit MFR on the morrow. That little tidbit of news floored Mallya for indeed Eisheth had spent all day planning a war against a much larger Isonia guild. Had she changed her mind? And in fact when did the leaders of MFR gain psychic abilities notifying them of Eisheth’s plan even before her most trusted disciple?

Mallya had been meditating when the attacks had started, grabbing her sword and sheathing it she races up the narrow stairs towards the battlements. She breaks through the door and quickly makes way to the edge of the tall parapet seeing the orange glow of fire before the actual blaze is in sight.

Demoness, so far we have had temples burned and they are currently using Magical arts against us. We are defending as best we can. One of her Captains reports as soon as he sees her.

Without acknowledgement she turns as her normally black eyes turn red; the air around Mallya effervesces with power as the arcane language of magic is spit vehemently from her lips. She stands amid a whirlwind of power casting spell upon spell fighting the magic of the cowardly Foret.

The attack ends and Mallya turns back to her Captains. Offer all of the burnt land to Darden. I don’t want the bastards to get it. Send out our scummers for reports. Get all troops you can. If there is a child large enough to hold a dagger arm him and prepare. They are not done with us yet tonight.

Mallya leaves by jumping off the edge of the building, wings unfolding as she falls. This way was much quicker then the stairs and time was of the essence. She begins walking as soon as she lands on the balcony her brisk pace conveying her urgency. She does not sit at the table only leans over and quickly begins scribbling out a note to Eisheth to inform her of the damage Mallya had sustained so far and let her know that her thieves had been sent out to scout the Feeble ones. She doesn’t even take time to sign the scribe and as she sets her seal upon the envelope the first signs of battle begin. Drawing her sword in her left hand she holds out the scribe in her right and mutters the words to send it on it’s way. She draws her dagger in her right hand as soon as the scribe disappears wings unfolding as she runs towards the open door she had just entered. Leaping gracefully she dives towards the melee below noting at least two banners bearing MFR’s colors. This would be a long night and Mallya had no hope of defending successfully against such numbers but she would make it as hard as she could for them. At least four heathen kingdoms to take her down that could very well save a few of the Reality from serious harm.

LoCo, here are the scouts of the heathens.

Xamia giving to LoCo the reports with a smile.

Ah, the orange heathens. We set forth at once. We strike at night.

Loco and Xamia together with his men marched unto the lands of the heathens. They set camp and scouts were maid to ensure their strike. As Loco was watching the Orange flag waving at the tower fogs began to thicken in their way and they can't see a thing. As if they were marching to nowhere and even Loco can't see a thing.

LoCo, I can't see a thing. Don't worry I am at your back.

Xamia shouted for everyone to ensure that they still there.

We wait til these fogs drop then we strike again, keep your guards, we might be caught by surprise. Do not move, we might get lost.

Hourse later, the fogs descended and the realm was visible to Loco's army.

Ah, and there it is children and now we srike. Send in the first wave. Then we wait for their return.

Loco, they manage to get in but we suffered some casualties. I've sent the wounded back to camp and I've sent our second wave and the third is ready for assault. Things are going good as planned.

And so it begins.........

Tossing a crumpled parchment onto the fire, the dark-haired, winged elfess rose, wings extending fully as she stretched. Closing them with an audible snap, she turned towards the grizzled, snow-maned elf.

"New orders, Rissa?"

"No. Just more accusations of whom did what first or didnt. Coloring the scouts done after our kingdoms were scouted by one of theirs as being our invasion. Just a bunch of unnecessary drivel."

Karzyn walked next to Narissa as she moved through the makeshift camp. Nodding with approval as she made a point to pause for a few moments by every elf within the band to speak. When her rounds were made, the dark-haired, winged elfess slipped into the surrounding woods, senses extended as the grizzled, snow-maned elf walked with her.

"War is not fair. War is not pretty. It is just the adrenalin of the unknown, the call of battle, the scent of blood, fear and pain." Her voice was low, barely reaching his ears as the perimeters of the camp were checked.

A full circle was made before Narissa moved back towards camp. Before seeking her tent, Narissa turned towards Karzyn.
"Now is not the time to point fingers. It's time to bite them off. Have the band ready to move out at dawn."

Watching as the grizzled, snow-maned elf nodded, the dark-haired, winged elfess' lips curved to one side, black gaze following before she turned to duck through the tentflap.

There was a time when Scovaree did not have quite as strong of a handle on the control of MFR.This time is passed. He read the missive from the Cities with little ammusement. He always found it disturbing that people could follow and believe in things blindly, whether it be religion and gods, political ideology, or an unfaithful lover. It always led to them speaking of things they know not. He thought to himself " He 'tires' of my avoidance when I have more pressing issues to attend than the demands of a heathen? Well that is his problem. There are happenings beyond one's constant control that occasionally occur, and this is one of those times. The Reality is claiming they had other plans. They are claiming that MFR was never thought of as a target for extinction. Instead they were planning on attacking a much larger group of heathens, except that larger group of heathens is engaged in conflict previous. The foray into the lands of the Cities that occured in the confusion of early stages of war was explained, reparations at another time offered, this should end the involvement of the Cities in this conflict." Scovaree leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.

Awakening from a short but desperately needed rest, and continued his thoughts..." Some of the Reality seem to question tactics and statstistics, and try to poison the minds of the rest of the Isle. let them, I say...let them.I will not get into debates about such things or spread accusations, thought there are many that could be made now and from the past. Statistics are funny things, in that they can be manipulated in many ways...used to prove whatever point may be convenient to one's cause. Did I choose to take a slight advantage in acquiring new lands for MFR, well yes I did. Did I have many options from which to choose? Most emphatically not. I can just imagine the outcry had we chose one of those over the course of action we took. But enough of this second guessing myself. I will NOT fall prey to that self defeating trap."

Finally, Scovaree spoke aloud....Clot!!!...Assemble the council!
There is much to discuss as to possible events in the near future!

The battle that had waged last night had been devastating to Mallya. All told, several of the Reality had suffered losses similar to her own and there was no question that the night ahead would bring only more of the same. Thankfully Demonic Reality was not a guild to give up when down and Mallya for one had no problem taking a sever beating for what she knew was right. All in the lands had seen what had happened and they all knew there were better options than the one chosen by MFR, though they would never admit it. There was time now for a more composed letter, and Mallya sits to write it.
Quote:
Nitemare,

You are too much. You defend your actions with words like honor and dignity when in fact they are just that, words, hollow and meaningless. Honor and dignity is what the Reality showed to you and yours when we attacked your kingdoms not to long ago. It would require no more than a hands time to find the records for yourself but just so you know the only advantage that the Reality claimed was that of first strike. MFR enjoyed a five-member advantage at that time not to mention your lands were larger than ours quite significantly for the most part. I have the records and will be more than happy to provide them to you if you require proof. Of course MFR did not complain, it was a fair war all the way around. Had that been case in this war the Reality would have quietly bucked up and demolished you and then gracefully granted you peace. Ask the leaders of your faithmates, CaT, similar circumstances were met with them in our last war. We are not childish whiners; we cried no foul when beaten by INCA, that too was a fair war. This is an outrage and I, for my part will do all that I can to destroy you and your arrogance. I will not be content until you bow before me and ask Darden’s forgiveness. Good luck and enjoy your lands while you have them. They will belong to Darden before I draw last breath.

Mallya

Her seal is pressed upon the letter and she waves a servant in her room handing it to him. Have this delivered to Nitemare of the Regulators and have the messenger wait for a response, should there be one.

He leaves the room and Mallya begins to pen yet another letter.
Quote:
Stee Jans,

All I can say to you is thank you for your support and while I fear the Regulators will not back off and the Reality will lose all material possessions that we now hold they will never take away that which we hold dearest to us. Our pride. They have acted heinously and at some point there will be retribution whether by your assistance or the Realities own tenacity is yet to be determined.

Once again I thank you for you public demand and hope that at some time I will have the honor of fighting by your side for the honor and glory of Darden. May his despair fill your soul with pleasure as it has my own.

Mallya

This too is sealed and sent on it’s way, and Mallya begins a final letter.

Quote:
Scovaree,

Other plans had indeed been made for the Reality. There are a small handful of leaders within Darden’s ranks that know of the plan. I shall not name names here for I would not betray them. As for the Isonia guilds availability to war, as with your decision that we were to hit you, you once again assume too much and you know what they say of those who assume. It is my belief that you will, before it is all said done, second-guess your decision to hit us. There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded wild creature. Except maybe a wounded wild demon.

Mallya

The final seal is placed and sent upon it’s way. Mallya wastes no time in further contemplations, there is work to be done and lands to destroy.

The early morning light brought Maliki's other eye open. Times of war was no time for sleep but he had to recharge his forces and had encamped for a short period.

The night before actions had seen the Foret followers waging war with the Darden clan, DR.
Demonic Reality had chosen the Regulators before as a war target and were threating war against Foret's Finest, so once again the battles begin.
Maxim was a World of warring, there was no other choice, either you battled or you died. There was no Peace Prize for not lifting your sword against those that did not believe in Foret's reign. If the Darden faith as a whole decides it wants to battle MFR, so be it.

Maliki knew the battling would be fierce and the guilds hatred of one another would be that much stronger. So be it.

Watching as his army of nubash gathered, Maliki gave the signal, the march into Darden lands would prove to be difficult with numerous casualties on both sides. Maliki never dodged any known realm and marched along side his men when the forces clashed.
Bloody and tired, Maliki would not stop driving his men into the heartlands of the Dardens DR.

The DR leaders were resourceful and used every known trick to stop or to slow his crusade. The Darden scummers tried to attack his realm's walls and temples but Maliki had trained an elite force of Shadows to guard in his absence. The wizards of Darden were no match for Foret's power but nevertheless DR attempted to bring down MFR through magic.

The Darden unguilded realms united to help defend DR but they would find the same fate as DR.

Resolve would be the key against DR, the Regulators had to push the war to the Darden guild relentlessly.

Foret's reign would not be denied, it was Maliki's purpose in life. What is a life without a purpose?

Standing at the flap to the war tent., The conversations had come to an end, an ally had stepped forward to right the wrong MFR had enacted. The excuse of ASSUMPTION had not gone over well amid the ranks of the Darden faith. Those of MFR had gotten bold in their swaggering belief they could do as they pleased and simply have all faiths cowtow to them. Their mistake had been hitting when the forces of Darden had been preparing to strike another. The fact they had struck with advanced numbers, both in income and members had only sealed their fate.

Darden was honorable. They protected those struck down dishonorably. Assumption. The greatest meaning in the first three letters. ASS. MFR certainly had made that of themselves.

Her lands were in ruin, and that was just fine. There was will and desire, and where those things dwelled there was the ability to overcome. Watching in approval as those Honorable of Darden, TTH, struck the very heart of MFR. They, MFR, wanted to go on fighting this as if they had acted bravely. Now they would learn from their mistake. Demonic Reality had always hit above them, always. But never stupidly. Never had DR hit down by such vast difference. To be treated in the manner DR had been treated was insult.

Spitting as she lifted her sword and started forward. They wanted war, they God damned well got one. Speaking to Sabian as they stepped over the burned remains of peasants and the charred remains of crops which would never be harvested.

It is not merely about Darden, Sabian. It is what is acceptable with all guilds, all wars. If it is allowed that one guild may strike down a guild with less members and less strength in monetary value and the like, it is acceptable for all faiths to do such. This cannot be allowed to become acceptable. Mere assumption cannot be allowed to be good enough reason. Proof must be offered. There is never excuse to hit a lesser realm simply because one needs land and a target.

This is how it appears. A land grab. There can be no respect for anyone who strikes in such a manner, for they shame their entire Faith. likewise such behaviors also bring out the best in Faithmates. This will draw Darden closer, and perhaps make MFR realize the importance of honor and dignity.

Glancing to the smoldering lands. Offer the land to Darden. We have war to fight, this does not help us, but holds us back.

Sabian nodded silently and issued the orders. This night much of MFR was in ruin, she was willing to accpet their apology and take repayment, though not unless TTH was done meteing out the lesson, but that was MFR's decision.

OOC//Please try to keep the insults to a low... and if you're going to insult role-play it and stop using those quotes as scrolls. Most of them are OOC letters and have no place here. //OOC

Logan stared across the plains in which the battle had been fought. It was a horrendous sight... one which sickened him. The bodies of the heathens lined the ground for acres. They were completely overwhelmed... however fought of honorably. For that reason, if nothing else, Logan respected them. He remembered the decision to attack in his mind. Opposed to other opinions, The Regulators had very little choice. In order to protect our people, we went to war. To preserve life... the Regulators were forced to take it away. Logan walked over to one of his own wounded men, if you would call him that, he was only a teenager. The boy clenched his teeth and stared into the sky with sheer determination. Logan caught eyes with the Wolf Priest aiding the victims. He pointed at the boy, and watched as the Priest gently nodded in confirmation... the boy was going to die.

Logan knelt down on one knee, and grasped the boys fist. Your name... what is it? He asked gently. Kjrall... G.. Ganthor, m'Lord. The boy whispered. Logan was taken aback slightly at the boys sharpness... how did he know who he was, few men in his legions were permitted to know that their beloved general was also their King. Your smart boy... perhaps the next battle we partake in, I'll accommodate you into my personal regiment. You'll be armed with the finest weapons, and armor, and what’s best... Logan glanced down towards the boy, he had a pleasant look on his face, as he stared into the sky. He however was no longer breathing, and had passed into the lands of the gods.

Logan sighed, and gently closed the boys eyes, for the last time. There was no other way Kjrall, Foret knows I tried to find another way... but the reality was that if we had not done what we have done, hundreds more like you would have suffered the same fate. Logan got up and walked away. ...and unfortunately it seems as if hundreds more still will suffer your fate. Thus is the times we live in...

In the absense of Creaser, Solik and Daos had together been acting as the temporary leaders of the Angels. It had been a long time since either one of them had been in this position... it had been years since Solik had led In Nomina Caelum Amplus, and even longer since Daos had led Les Chevaliers de Mystiques. However, they had functioned as advisors of a sort, and remained close to the leadership; thus, they were ready for the burden once it was placed upon them. One of the new duties was world politics. As such, Solik had been keeping a very close eye on the developments between MFR and the Demonic Reality. His spies and informants were keeping tabs on the situation and reporting every development to him personally. The latest development appeared to have just occurred, as one of his men had requested an immediate audience. It, of course, had been granted.

"Milord... it appears that the Darden clan known as The True Hearted have entered the war to aid the Demonic Reality. Their initial assault has crushed MFR. What should we do?"

Solik took the news with a bit of a smirk, and nodded approvingly.

We will do nothing.

The official seemed taken aback. "N...nothing, milord?"

Not a damn thing.

Solik turned his back, walking towards the exit.

INCA was founded on certain principles. Honor. Loyalty. Justice. These principles are now being upheld not by the Regulators, but by The True Hearted.

The actions of MFR have earned them great disapproval in our eyes. Once again, we are disappointed with their choice. They have dug their own grave; let them claw their way out of it themselves.

Without another word, the bard returned to his chambers. As far as he was concerned, this matter was closed.

RifRaf awakens in the morning after the battle to find that his lands have been attacked from a number,of realms, ones that have no business intruding within his lands...

I dont understand why these other heathens are sticking there noses into MFR's affairs.
We Attacked our target, before they could attack us
they were within 50,000 average networth when we attacked.
We clearly hurt them bad, so is that why they cry to thier fellow Dardens to come and bail them out ?
I will not take this from these heathens, no matter how many strong they are...

RifRaf looks over his realm, what few buildings that are left after the massive scumm and sorcery attacks, and laughs outloud

I will not go down without taking as many of you Darden scum with me !
You know who you are, You have already felt my wrath !
And I havent even begun my revenge yet !

I will continue on my path of destruction, only stopping when the last of these swine have been rendered into lard.
That way they will have plenty of grease to fry the chicken so they can wrap thier phat, greasy paws around it.

( ooc. To Soliknightwind, I was online, talking to one of your members when we started our attack on DR, I told him the stats at that time, they were no where near what DR posted AFTER we hit. We were within 50k ave. networth, and a few 100,00 total. we had 1 member more than them. How is it fair that TTH and a number of others, both ug's and a few from other guilds join in the fight ? )

(OOC: We have not asked for any help (INCA), DR was planning/threating to hit us, different thread in TB. Stats were fair at beginning of war, TTH jumping in just makes it fun)

The winds carried whispers and stories for those that had ears, would hear and those with eyes, would see..

Maxim is filled with violence, and wisdom has become foolishness, and foolishness wisdom, and the foolishness of Darden increases day by day, but not all are ignorant....

Many of the children of Darden see their folly, but are now powerless to resist the destroyer. There was a time, now past, when Darden had valor, they might have withstood the evil that now pursues them, but it is everlastingly to late, and now, with blood only can the destroyer be vanquished.... I would have spared you the coming days of torment, but you heeded not wise counsel and set your hearts upon vanity, pride and greed, and this to your suffering.... Turn your black hearts inward now, and in the end, it will work for your good, my lost children, followers of Darden..

There is no end to the violence of my children. Maxim is bathed in the blood of my children by my wayward children, that worship a false god. I can bear Darden's presence no longer, for as I am the Father of all living, I decree, that as Darden increases in violence against my followers, so will I increase in violence against them, until the wickedness of Darden is but a memory, and then I will rest, for when the violence of Darden is done away, only my children that love and respect me will remain to enjoy my bounty. Then will I bring joy back to the World.

Oh Darden followers, who will comfort thee in the day of desolation? Who will shroud thee and protect thee from that which is to come? DR has been lead a blind and TTH has followed. The blind leading the blind...

Have I not ordered an eternal decree that the wickedness of Darden will not stand as a testimony against me? I have offered thee, my children, life of peace and joy and happiness, and you have spurned my offer, rejected the path to it, and think your wisdom reaches to the heavens, even as your folly leads to the grave. There is only One..

By the Law of One, Heaven is brought to Maxim, but you rejected my counsel, and now you receive the reward of your folly at your own hands, and the day of your desolation is upon you, even as I speak... You will be visited with destruction from within and without and the hands of MFR will split asunder your hearts and your treasures and eat ravenously from the stores of your greed. You have no place to hide, no sanctuary of safety, and even Maxim works for your destruction.

TTH, It is now, the day of your folly, your recompense, your reward returning as a raging fire like the darkness that rages in your heart that no gold can quench. Those that have sought to do evil all the days of their lives will now receive the reward from their own hands, for that which you send out returns as your reward...

The end of Darden is in sight, his doings are his undoing, and peace has been taken off the Isle, and will not abide again until the end of wickedness. My followers will fight until the end of the Ages in my name, for I am Foret, the Father of All...

[OOC: Where are the numbers you quote? Show us ALL. And that thread mentioned? Was Narissa bored and wanting RP, which she stated several times in ICQ to the GM. /OOC]

The lands of MFR had fallen, the headers of INCA had spoken. All of Darden agreed this had been a poorly chosen hit. That, once again, it was ESP in that DR would strike MFR showed the vainity of their huberis. They knew nothing. It was a terrible downhit. All the advantage, no disadvantage. Numbers, troops, cash. It had been a land grab out of sheer panic of the WHAT IF mentality.

The fact they bemoaned this reaction only made her pity them more. Had they expected Tonin to stand for such an act? Even their own faith was taken aback by the act. The fact they were unwilling to end the attack and make restutution when asked only made them appear more the bullies.

There was never thrill in seeing such a shameful thing, even when it involved heathens.

Bowing to Solik and turning to TTH, bowing to them as well. We owe you True Hearted. Today you have given us brotherhood and strength. We of Demonic Reailty are in your debt.

Bowing once again. Now, let us finish them.

Mi'lord news from your kingdom! It seems that.........

What? continue mesenger.......

Horrible things mi'lord.... heathens attacked us.....

What?....... Xamia, get the men ready to head back to the kingdom. Things are getting unpretty here. Kill what is left from the Reality then we move!

Xamia nodded and took few men to finish the business and Loco with his part of the army got back to his kingdom.

Upon the mountain, Loco saw his kingdom torn apart. Smoke covered the whole kingdom and it was left to nothing.

It seems that the Demonic Reality aided for some help to their fellow Darden followers. This is incompetence and is what I am seeing right now. The Darden followers seem to take drastic measures to take down the Regualators.

Loco stood on his destroyed tower and laughed.

Bwahahaha! I still have an army and lets kill them all! I am not gonna stand here and look at my pitiful kingdom, we take all the Demonic Reality's possession and spare no one. Darden has led these men to wickedness and they shall have wickedness for reward. A brilliant tactic. Loco talking to himself and seems to see evil comings from his hand and sword.

My hands are shaking for lust of blood! Let us continue Loco.... we will finish what we have started. Xamia talking to Loco with burning eyes....

Ah... yes, the sweet smell of blood and the warm feeling of gripping one's heart........

[ooc: there is no reason to even talk about statistics anymore because nobody should care. The fact is, MFR and DR are well-matched, and they were each others only available targets. They are ripped because MFR beat them to the attack, and while I can understand their anger over this, it's time to grow up and play the game for what it is, kids.] ((Please remember that you are only allowed three sentences of ooc post. He was not pleased. The shattered chair surrounding the fireplace left a clear impression of his temperment. He was surrounded by half a dozen advisors, twenty of his fastest scribes, and ten of his generals.

Several hundred reports lay before him. He read through all of them, one by one. Every lie, truth, and so-called fact other than a battle report found its way quickly into the fire. He had not the time to deal with the bullshit politics that went along with war. He had a realm to run. Heathens to kill. Allies to protect.

"You! Write this down. I want you to repeat the orders when I am done." He glared at a few statistics before returning to the scribe. "We divide our forces into five groups. Group one, you will take care of Quonotae. Group two, you divide into equal groups to cover all our allies. Group three, you will take out our primary targets. Groups four and five will deal with anyone who doesn't belong in this war. Tacticians will aid the generals. I want full coverage on all points on the homefront, allies, enemies. There are to be no loose points. Anything that moves, destroy it. Repeat that back to me.

Ruune listened to the scribe as he read the orders back. Satisfied with the dammage he could do while preventing his own demise, he nodded.

"Copy this to each general of the army. Alert Leader Stuahl that I have made this decision. You have your orders, now get out of my sight."

Once the room cleared, he took up a piece of parchment and scribbled an intensely violent note to Scovaree.

"Barnoq! Get in here!" He shouted. "Take this to Scovaree immediately. He needs to know that I will no longer hold back against the bastardchildren of Darden. Go."

He sat back and placed his booted foot on the corner of the desk. Angrilly, he pointed an index finger to the fireplace. It erupted into a horrifying fireball, funneling through the top of the structure. Finally, he felt pleased.

She sighed and bowed her head, That it should come to this, the whispered words echoed about the almost empty temple. Shadows danced eerily as the flames from the brazers leapt up and down, the desert wind acting as their partner in this chaotic waltz. Other than that nothing moved within the temple, even the sleeping female form that lay upon the altar seemed to be masquerading as one of the dead.

Still, quiet, calm...

If only all the isle could be so but such peace was not for this world, it was only an idle summer's day dream. Out there in other parts of the isle war raged, as violent and feirce as ever, as certain to destroy the innocent as it was the guilty. War could not tell one from another, it killed without thought of which was which and left only tears in its wake. Sometimes it spared the young, sometimes it spared the old, but mostly none were ever left to walk freely away from its touch. It was a sad thing to behold, a realm where all those of youth had been cut down and only the elderly were left to bury the dead, for parents should never be forced to stand at the graves of their children and grandchildren.

But war bred more than simply death and destruction, it bred hate and anger, rage at unjust actions and temper at actions questioned. Battles left wounds that no number of ages could heal, injuries to mind and pride that were never forgotten. People would look to other guilds and mutter of old slights and debts that were as yet unpaid. It was the way of things, something that the sorceress could accept now, there would always be those who held grudges. And more often than not those grudges would have their origin in a previous war that one side or the other had been dis-satisfied with. Sometimes ones guild would accuse another of calling in aid from the shadows when last they clashed upon the field of war. Other times the defending guild would cry out that they had been attacked by those who already controlled lands far larger than their's.

There were those in the isle that merely laughed mockingly at such things, asking why it should matter who they attacked so long as they were heathen. But there were others who shook their heads at such words and pointed out that a God can find no glory in the actions of their followers if they do not challenge themselves. Only by striking out at the greater risk to their faith rather than the lesser could a guild hope to find honour and glory for their God. In the end it did not matter who won or lost, only that higher purposes were served, that honour was left unblemished and not tarnished by those who claimed to serve it.

Lyssia had followed the news of the Regulators's war, she always did, watching silently from the shadows where they might not know her. Messengers were sent out each day from the red desert to gather more news of what occured in the lands that flew the banner that she had once marched under so long ago. Unlike the rest of the Regulators from back then she had not trusted the Grey God, the Sidhe had ven tried to dissuade her fellows from His worship. But she had failed and gone her own way, her path had long ago led her from theirs, into what they would consider heathen lands. But even though their ways had parted still she watched them, old friends and allies both.

She knew that times were hard for them, for the Foret faith no longer enjoyed the dominance that it once had. There had been a time when those of the Eldest God had reigned over all, though it was many ages past and forgotten by many who were new to the lands. But still..., the sorceress said to herself, trailing off and not finishing her sentance. She knew the weight that was laid upon the leader of a guild, after all had not she once been Regulator herself, had she not brought them to the battlefield against foes several years back?

Those times were long past now though and she could only watch from under another banner as her old friends made their mistake by attacking those of the Demonic Reality. Ah the Reality, now there was a name she remembered well enough from her time following the prophet Diman. Strange that she should find herself an ally of them where once she had been among their most ardent enemies. The world turns and turns again, throwing us into situations both odd and unbelievable, challenging us if we do not challenge ourselves. And it seemed that Fate had challenged the Regulators, sending those of the True-Hearted to their realms to join against them with the Reality. Perhaps for the sake of honour that was how the war should have begun, true those of MFR might not have won but they would also have not earned themselves the attention of the isle as they had.

The sorceress looked down at a small map of the lands, caressing those lands that belonged to the Regulators with the tips of her fingers. She smiled tiredly, seeing the faces of those she had once known in her mind, Old friends, you should have listened to me when I told you so long ago to throw off your worship of Foret. She looked away from the map sadly, a deep sorrow stabbing at her heart to find herself so divided from those she had once broken bread with. The end of Darden would only come with the end of all three Gods. Rage and rattle your weapons against those of Darden, it will do you no good, for your God is no more than words on the wind.

(OOC-These are the stats at approximately 4pm game time. Half an hour before our attack we dropped one built 12.5k realm which brought us much closer together.MFR-14, 4,787,950--341,996 : DR 12- 3,549,017--296,751. I wish I got the actuall stats immediatley before but a few things happened that prevented it. MY fault. /OOC)

Clot approached Scovaree cautiously, not sure of the mood he was in. "Sire...The heathens that call themselves The True Hearted have decided to interfere in our battle with the Reality. What shalll we do?" he said and backed away quickly. But he was to be surprised by his Lord's response.

Clot, don't even worry about it. There are those that follow blindly the prattlings of a bitter sow. henceforth to us they sahll be known as FotF...Followers of the False. In the past we HAVE been concerned about finding battles that were as fair for both sides as possible. Now the reason for this escapes me. We fight in order to eliminate the followers of the false gods or bring them into enlightenment. That is Foret's edict, and it is what we shall accomplish. From this day forward, any member of MFR finds their lands to small to support the converted, he or she shall feel free to go and take more from WHEREVER or WHOMEVER they may find it. In our lasst war with DR we were plagued with attacks from those not officially tied to DR. Yet we filed no protest, put out no call to our "faithmates". We dealt with the lot we were given and dragged DR to the bowls of hell itself. It is good that those we associate ourselves with are of a like mind. We live in hell. We are at our best when we are linked to the void. The heathens WILL learn this at great expense. If our "faithmates" choose to decry our actions, then so be it. I would hope that they would have the inteligence to contact me before they open their mouths and speak, but that is probably far too much to hope for. You have seen the intelligence repository Clot. How lacking is it? It will be some time now before we can contribute effectively to it once again, but we shall. For it is not about the actions or lack thereof by our "faithmates", but instead it is about the will of Foret. This we CAN and WILL pursue!

Maliki had rushed back to his realm when he had heard that the Dardens RFC had come to the aid of DR with their scummers working overtime to help their fallen Darden faithmates, when he had received word that TTH had declared war on the Regulators also, he knew, his realm would be in harms way. That it was..

StupidKnuckleHeadedNincomPoopsWithoutABrain!! Maliki cursed as he seen his ruined lands. He wanted so badly to order his Nubash to gather and attack but atlas there was none to be found. He walked among his dead peasants who had fought to protect the walls. The Dirty Deed Dardens had been to many for them to overcome..

Flipping his dagger into the air, never taking his eyes off the ground at a crawling injured Darden begging for help. The dagger twirled high in the air and as it began it's descent, Maliki grabbed it from mid fall and flung it towards the injured Darden..The dagger sparkled in the air and found it's mark between the eyes of the now dead Darden, the only good Darden..

Walking over to his dagger, he placed one boot on the dead heathens forehead and grabbed hold of his dagger, with a swift kick of his boot the dagger was free..
Finding a piece of the TTH banner from a heathen, Maliki cleaned the blood from his dagger and returned it to it's hidden spot..

As much as Maliki enjoyed that, his emotions were far from being in control..

Gritting his teeth, he took hold off his sword and began slashing and decapitating all the fallen Dardens he came across..He mutilated injured Dardens or Darden corpses, it didn't matter..This continued for a long while until his arms could not swing the sword any longer and his legs were tired from squashing Darden skulls with his boots. He enjoyed the way they popped when he crushed. If they would of had any sort of brains to cushion his blows, their heads might not of popped as they did..

Dropping his sword to the ground, Maliki followed suit and dropped to his knees.

Is Death taunting me? I can not Live but, I can not Die. I am trapped in this self. This body just acts as my personal jail cell. Darkness visits me often, but yet, always turns away as if afraid to claim my soul. I will not betray the Light of Foret.
My resolve is strong.
All that I can see, is absolute horror, yet I will not turn away. I will remember these days and All responsible will pay, these are not just words I say..Pray...Soon Darden becomes my Prey..

Standing back up, Maliki returns his sword to his pack and begins walking in the direction of the nearest Darden realm..

The day was damp and moist, and a dark cloud shrouded the already dimly lit valley. The armies of Foret had gathered at the lower bowl end of a long grass filled valley.Their banners proudly unfurled at their head.
The commander and his junior officers rode ahead to survey the surrounding area.
A small stream trickled slowly down the upper hills into the valley combining into a small frothy river, the locals had said it was a great place to catch trout, but no-one was fishing this day.
In fact the army hadnt seen hide nor hair of a single occupant but a stray scraggy dog or a starved cat in the last 3 villages leading to this valley, the leader had thought this strange, but thought nonetheless that the people had fled to the hills or perhaps a mountain stronghold of sorts so they had continued to move forward.
Their orders were to sack the villages and climb up this valley through the upper pass into the vale beyond and this is exactly what they would do.This vale was rumored to be the home and heart of the True Hearted's lands. If this attack could succeed it would be a vital blow in this war with the evil Darden heathens.
A small wind pushed the low lying clouds up the rise, the commander thought sourly that this would probably mean more rain.
Almost everyone in the host turned at the scouts cry and looked to where he pointed.
High up the valley a lone elf stood on the rise, garbed in mail with sword, shield bowand quiver he stood stoicly before the host.

The light rain had just begun when the commander smirked and laughed with his men when he commented on how this was the only resistence thus far when the elf finally spoke.Magically enhanced his voice filled the valley in a heavilly accented version of the common tongue.

I am Nicademis Wyrmslayer, son of Galador, weilder of Tal-nakshar a sword of reknown, you and your kind are not welcome here and You shall not PASS

When the word "pass" passed the elfs lips a great shout and a chant came down from the hills ,behind every scraggly tree or loose boulder another and another elf appeared.

The chant continued to a frenzied pace ,the veteran Foret commander rallied his men for what were a few elves against this throng,he order the host to start its pace up the valley to engage and kill this elvish riffraff.

Suddenly to his horror he realised what the chanting was,for the light rain ,turned to a downpour, the downpour a torrent, then the torrent to a violent deluge. The small creeks filled lightening quick bursting forth pushing silt and twigs in its path. The creeks combined to the river,by this time a frothing whitecapped hell steaming forth down the valley pushing man-sized boulders and full trees down towards the host.

Those that could ,fled, all others either drowned or had an elvish arrow in thier crumpled forms, this day was DARDENS.

The elvish host hardly had time to celebrate the minor victory when news had come of other groups that had burned and pillged villages and towns deeper in the hinterlands.Nicademis' own province was in flames.

The elves marched home in silence...war was hell.......

(OOC You are all welcome to believe whatever you want as to the initial fairness of this war, It is your choice. I would be overjoyed at the odds given in any other Evernight game./OOC)

Scovaree watched as his highest aid once again approached him with caution.Come now Clot, you know I am not one to kill the bearer of bad tidings. We are old friends...trust that. Now what have you report? Clot, still somewhat hesitant slides into a seat in front of Scov's desk. Indeed he was quite weary.

Sire...We are under seige by no less than thirty three different realms.Aside form the Reality and those that claim to be true hearted, the other guilds who have seen fit to attack are Dogs, RKoR, Ronin, and IOM. There are also several realms with no known affiliation attacking as well. There is word of peace offerings. Eiseth is making a claim that MFR was offered peace with our initial attacks. How should we proceed Sire? Clot seemed very relieved to remove the burden of his knowledge, and waited patiently for a reply.

...Eiseth lies. She may or may not know it but I have had a scribe hidden in the wings nearly every time she has ever communicated with me. Make it known that any who have the means to contact me that these conversations are not hidden. They can be made available on request. PERHAPS those that have chosen to interfere will be able to strike an accord with MFR, tho it is doubtful. The damage has been great and bitterness runs deep. They try and cloak their greedy ways in vows of honor and unanimity of faith. But I am done explaining my position to the rest of the world. I made my choice for MFR, and will accept any conscequences of that choice. Yet others have made their choices as well. Let us hope they are as willing to live up to them. Send runners to those few heathen leaders that have tried to contact me. Tell them that it seems that each time they do try, I have been otherwise occupied and do appologize. Also let it be known that there will be NO blanket peace proposals considered. Go now and deliver my words. I only hope old friend, that you are able to keep your head in doing so. I tire of talking now. Be on your way and may Foret keep you. Scovaree watched as his trusted friend left, wondering would they ever meet again, hoping he had not sent the man to his doom.

" Lord, I have word we have been attacked by a Darden realm." The first messenger says as he runs into Hawke's war room.

" Lord, I have word we have been attacked by a Darden realm." The second messenger says as he locates Hawke in his room.

" Lord, I have word we have been attacked by a Darden realm." The third messenger yells searching for Hawke.

" Lord, I have word we have been attacked by a Darden realm." The fourth messenger reveils as he walks into Hawke's war room.

" Lord, I have word we have been attacked by a Darden realm." The fifth messenger says as he runs into Hawke's war room.

This went on until he had heard from his 100th messenger of the short week.

' They got my seventeen thousand acres but these last 900 acres will be the hardest for the heathens to get.' Hawke thought to himself while reading recent scouting reports of the Dardens and Isonias who had hit his realm. And until they did his nine hundred temples would be put to use.

He did not like all the attention from the Dardens and Isonias but Hawke was a Regulator and would continue the fight as ordered and no complaints. He would send help to his allies as long as he had acres to survive, that was his oath as a Regulator. He knew this was just the first strike in the battle, the days do not forget nor do the Regulators. Remember this is war not just a short battle.
