Post (LKA - RP) The Lost Scroll
(Prolouge)

History is written by the larger casts and ultimately the winners of any conflict of faith, the smaller and weaker are cast aside, being portrayed as evil the bringers’ or instigators of damnation.
This can be read in any history book many time of many different things, of any land, people and of any faith.
The ‘Truth’ can be sort by the pure at heart and the open minded, the keen eye can read between the lines of their lies that portray themselves as the truth and the words of the innocent, with each generation brings a different story of the same history, diluted until no truth remains of the original.

In the history of this land there is no room for the innocent for innocence is not a quality of those who wage war and wars are not won by the meek at heart or the pure of spirit, but by those hardened with a need to survive. And so it has been written of the ‘Order’ the scribes have not been good to the order, originally we were seen as traitors to the faith of ‘Angelique’ and ultimately the damnation of all realms that lie within this great world of ‘Evernight’ they chose to turn their back on the beloved ‘Angelique‘and follow the banner of the cursed ‘Leto’.

Here the story begins, in those dark hours at the begging of time when all meaning and existence was forged by the hands of those that came before the gods, when they set down their true ideals and the mechanic of existence.
The gods followed and cast their lots what came of this is unknown to mortal man such as I, many have their own opinion, each faith different to the next it has been said by the ‘Natural Mage’ that that all to come has already been predestined, set out for only the creator and the gods too see upon a parchment made from the very essence of time.

If this is true non can be blamed for their actions as these are not truly their actions but the predestined mechanics of the creator and the writings of the gods.

The morning sun shone through the open window, the smell of wet grass carried on the light breeze that occasionally set the silk curtains on a merry dance, it carried the sound of the palace carpenter over the walls from the court yard beyond and the chamber maids about their duties, cackling as they crossed its carpet of cobbles from the kitchen to the halls at the other end.
The sound of voices could be heard outside the large ornate doors slightly ajar that lead out onto the main concourse at the other end of the throne room, they had gathered there for an ordinance with the ‘Grand Master’ of the ‘Order’ Crimson, following his breakfast at eight.
There were three voices engaged in polite conversation something about the storm overnight and the heavy rain that was it companion, it had been the deluge that had damage the rectory roof, mere niceties that where the custom around the cloisters.
The three voices were those of ‘Aruara’ 3rd Knight of LKA, Malaki court scholar to the royal house of LKA and Bloodknight the third master of the former BKOS and now 2nd Knight of LKA.

The Grand Master had called for an audience following the scholar’s decryption of manuscripts discovered by Malaki on his last expedition into the Red Mountains, which had nearly proved fatal for all concerned, he had been looking for evidence of the old faiths and accidently stumbling across a scripture from one of the ‘predawn families’ possibly ‘Inand’ the oldest of all the nine predawn families of the faith.
The discovery had caused some excitement within the religious circles as the ‘Divine Ashes’ that were held at the church of Leto to the south of the city, were those of the fourth daughter of ‘Inand’ the Leto priestess ‘Ciara’.

And this is how the story goes......................

RP NOTES: (The Scriptures Translated By Malaki)

Scripture Translation: – ‘Book of Inand - 3:6 to 3:10 - Ciara’

3:6. Priestess of the divine service and said to be the greatness mortal love of Leto, she was the fourth daughter to the overlord of Inand first family of pre history.
Her beauty was said to be not of this world, it was said that the hands of the gods themselves had modelled her looks on perfection she had been a virgin priestess in the service of Leto and mother only to his people and his church.
3:7 Her devotion was unquestionable, her love of life and the people unrivalled but her allure was said to be unbearable for Jax the crown prince, only son of the overlord of Inand and its people, heir to the throne.
He tried to take her for his own and from her services to Leto, but the gods looked upon this as the actions of a man possessed with the desires of the flesh of his own family and not of the faith of his own people.
3:8 Leto cast down Jax with a terrible illness that twisted his flesh and his mind, Jax became a madman plagued with dreams of demons and visions, visions of a terrible fate that he believed was to befall Inand.
The Overlord, Coronas a broken man destroyed by his grief for his beloved son, he blamed Ciara for the madness that had taken his son from him, he had planned to put Ciara to death but fell into a deep sleep never to wake.
3:9 Driven by his dreams and his twisted thoughts of oblivion the new King Jax ordered Ciara burned, her ashes to be taken to the eight furthest points of the realm so that her magic could no longer harm Inand, he entrusted the eight greatest worriors each with an urn of ashes and sent them forth.
3:10 The people of Inand distraught that their beloved Ciara had been killed by what they believed to be a possessed king, possessed by the madness of the devil Barboras, rose up against the realm in a bloody war that lasted for three era’s, a war that saw the end of the first great family.

And So Let It Be Written

The cool air inside the aitrium felt soothing against Aruara's face, he felt uneasy being called upon for audiance with the GM following the storm last night, it had spooked the hoarses and Aruara had spent most of the night sleeping in the stables to calm their nerves and unfortunatlely smelt like it.

"Malaki I hear this is about the scriptures you've just translated, I read them last night after your page delivered them at four, interesting to say the least!"

Aruara looked at Malaki eyeing him with a 'Damn you stink look' not too please that he'd been pulled away from his beloved steeds for a ordiance about historical writings that he had no interest in, but felt must have some importance for all three to be here.

"So if these lost scripture proove to be correct, then who's ashes do we have in the Temple?"

The Ashes in the temple of 'Leto' had been there for many generations, always considered to be the final resting place of the beloved 'Ciara' mother to a nation and love of Leto, these new documents changed that, if true.
Aruara had read many things in his service to LKA, things written sometime never speak the truth, sometimes they are written to hide the truth.

Bloodknight sat there head turned looking down the large marble hallway as it stetched out before them down to the large oak doors and the ordiance chamber some 125 meters away and ultimately Crimson.

Maliki moved away from Aruara with a distinctive odd look on his face.

"Damn..."

He turned and walked to the open widow talking an overacted breath of fresh air, the thin net curtains blew in the
morning breeze wrapping themselves around Maliki's shoulders.

"I think you should take five man to sort out the ... erm"

Maliki didn't want to sound offencive to his
friend but he felt he had to say something, Aruara was begging to hum of hoarses.

"erm ... take that jacket off".

Maliki unraveled himself from the nets. "And maybe those pants as well".
Aruara looked at Maliki with a thrown quickly apearing on his forhead, turned and strided down the hall to the servants doorway,
disapearing beyond into the kitchen.

Suddenly the was a loud shout and what seemed like the clash of steel on a battle field.
"AARRRGGH get out of my kitchen you nasty old man, how on earth did you get in the palace, guards, guards get rid of this begger"
with that the door sprang open followed by Aruara and an assortment of pots and pan that cluttered across the
marble hall.
Just then Blood Knight rose from his seated position, turned to Maliki with a smile on his face, and said
"I think we'd better rescue him from the cook".

True the cook didn't look that pleased with Aruara and his present state of atire.
"Get out peasant, awwww, aaarrrgh"
the cook looked up to see Maliki
& Blood Knight standing there laughing and stopped shouting.
Bk turned to Mal "Hey! your the one who translates stuff what did all that mean?"
Mal smiled. "Damn you stink ..... i think"
the cook turned to the figure rolling on the floor and began to laugh. "It never is,
do my eye decieve me is this truely the
Knight himself Aruara what has come of you my poor soul"

Aruara stood and scowled at the cook, rubbing his head from the rapeated hammering of the ladel,
he turned and strode off through the right door into the court
yard.

Blood Knight looked at Maliki

"Urm..."

"I suppose you wondering why your here good friend" asked Mal,
Bk nodded a reclaimed his seat against the wall.
"Well on the expidition to the Red mountains we discovered something we didn't exspect to find"
BK justured for him to continue.
"And with out saying too much before we go in to see Crimson, erm its very contradictory to our beliefs, well, not too
Leto but to the way the history books seem to portray what has happened and how it happened"

Bk gave Mal that
'I'm not interested look but pretend i am look'
that he normally held for the wierdo's in the taven.

The door to the court yard sprang open followed by a more majestic looking Aruara who looked cleaner but as he grew closer
seemed to smell, well not quite so bad.

Bk stood up as the chimes of the great hall rang down the atrium, this told the three that crimson had finished his breakfast
and was ready for his ordience.
He turned to Mal looking as if he had prepared a speach but turned and strode towards the great hall.
