Charter

In the beginning, the island lay dormant. Lizardmen scurried across its surface like ants, fetching and carrying supplies for their hive queens, hunting wild animals for food and constructing primitive temples to worship their gods.

There were some places which were untouched by the lizardmen, for good reason. Dark places where powerful creatures lay sleeping, undisturbed lest their anger be unleashed on those who awoke them. Quiet places where other gods ruled; petty deities who gathered their power and lay curses upon those who trespassed onto their territory. There were places which had little to offer the lizardmen in terms of wealth, resources or beauty, and so they were left untouched. There were places where no hunting parties travelled, because no hunting parties ever returned.

The interlopers came to the island, fleeing the cataclysm of the shattered lands. They knew nothing of the various parts of the island or what they offered. They knew nothing of the risks. Few bothered to try to talk to the lizardmen - instead they conquered, expanding their lands far beyond the borders which they could manage and subsist within. Their avaricious appetite for power and their zealot priests saw the lizardmen fall back into their inland villages, and eventually even those enclaves fell before the cold steel of the interloper armies.

And so, knowledge of the fell places faded from the world.

The interlopers did not stop when they had killed the last of the lizardmen they could find. They continued chopping down trees, "civilising" the island, and eventually long-slumbering beasts were awoken, hunting parties were lost in areas which nobody returned from, and even the most barren of lands were quarried for what little they offered.

One such hunting party was lost as they chased a young buck into a darker part of the forest.

Long months passed before they re-emerged, still clad in the tattered red hunting tabards of their god Barnabas, now with long ragged hair and walking with the aid of stout oaken staffs. Their eyes were a uniform black from eyelid to eyelid, and their faces were lined as though they were long past working age - something at odds with their lithe movement and obvious strength.

The druids of Nature's Wrath dwell within the deep forest, and keep their own council - even other members of the faith of Barnabas are given short shrift if communication is attempted. The goals of the enclave are unknown, and their activities do not seem to be coordinated towards expanding their fledgling empire; rather, they seem to spend more time searching through the forest and scouring the remains of the lizardman villages, carrying arcane items and seemingly random parts of the lizardman temples back to their base.

The only activity seen from Nature's Wrath as far as contact with the wider world goes is the occasional seized sheep or cow from kingdoms whose borders stray close enough for raids to take place.

The evolution of Nature's Wrath is the story of their emergence from the dark forest, and their return to the civilisation of the interlopers.

New guild

Rules

Nature's Wrath is a one man guild which will never expand much further than that. Drop me an email if you have a driving desire to join, but please don't expect acceptance unless you're a regular RP poster who needs a home and wants to play a mad druid sort.

As such, there's not likely to be much promotion and the guild only has one rank - GM. If the GM disappears then the guild is likely to fall inactive and die. No requirements are made of members other than activity on the boards in RP format and in game occasionally.

The guild will follow the forum rules strictly:

Only admin or staff can create OOC threads. Any player-created OOC threads will be closed or removed, and the player may be warned. If you have OOC material you'd like to talk about, please do so in a suitable existing OOC thread, or over ICQ/email/PM to the appropriate staff member.

All posts in Covenant not done in OOC threads, must be in character, and in roleplay format. Any posts that do not meet this criteria will be edited or removed by a staff member.

If you have non-PG13 material, please mark the thread (or post) as such so that people don't open it at work, etc.

Do not write actions for other characters without the consent of their players - this is called "godmoding" and may lead to your post being edited by a staff member if a complaint is received. While it can be fun to play a powerful character, please keep your character's abilities to a realistic level - if one player is roleplaying a godly powerful character and the others in the group are farm labourers, it won't be so fun for the people who can't level a city with a quirk of their eyebrow.

Any OOC comments included in IC posts which are deemed to be inflammatory or too lengthy will be edited.

- Do not make an ass of yourself.
- Do not post bug reports on the boards, over ICQ, or in IRC unless asked specifically by staff.
- Do not post accusations of cheating on the boards.
E-mail or PM one of the administrators with details.
- Do not spam or post redundant messages.
- Do not post kingdom numbers or kingdom names on the boards.
- Pornography, Piracy or other illegal material is not allowed.
- Do not post links or advertisements to hate or Anti-Evernight sites. This includes racial, ethical, or sexually related sites.
