“you can’t be serious!” the corpulent merchant exclaimed. “Tony sent you? I won. He owes me money. So he sends you?” The man shook his head and laughed heartily. “I’ll cut you a better deal. How can you put up with this nonsense? How about… grunglh” A sputtering gurgle reminiscient a drowning baboon cut off any details of the man’s offer. Blood fountain out of the empty socket formerly occupied by his larynx while the light faded from his wide eyes.

It’s not always easy staying loyal to your friends. Murder isn’t the hard part. Justifying it can be.

But let me start at the beginning. Tony and I grew up in this sewer they call a city. Curie, too. All of us at the orphanage together. You learn to pick your friends and grab what you can there. And grab we did. Tony was the leader, he always figured out a way to get us a little extra.. whatever. Food, free time, cash, you name it.

But things really got crazy when we came into our own. Curie took to potions lessons.. and I mean took to them! If it could be brewed or concocted it came alive in his kettle (and sometimes crawled right out too!) But Tony was the one to put a spin on it. He scrounged up not only the ingredients (I mean, how does a 10 year old orphan boy find feathers from a fallen angle?) but also scroll after scroll of rare and illegal recipes. Sure, first it was the stuff the other kids wanted, but then well let’s just say it was much better to produce those things people with money wanted.. and would pay for.

Which financed the fights. You see, I got thing for animals. I spend enough time around one then I came become it. It usually takes three, four months-- more for the larger, complex ones. So Tony finds out, and suddenly there are scheduled fights in the yard.. with Tony taking book. Sometimes as many as eight against one. But word spread around the city (you know, everybody always wants a shot at the title), and we couldn’t schedule matches fast enough. We set up rankings and schedules,, eventually I stopped all but irregular matches and just refereed…

And took care of collecting outstanding debts.

And we took over the city; they all either joined us, fear us, or owe us. Sometimes all three.

But some people always want more. Now the King’s Inquisitors have Curie in hiding, fights are raided, and the cash is hard to come buy. Still.. Tony’s got to have that new sword, and this next game of dice will make up for what he lost the last seven times… I’ve even had visits from other groups wanting me to join with them and add our town to their territory… Some talk of facilitating salt trade.. and tobacco. Tobacco!

But family is Family, right?

Family roles

Rank 1(GM) Godfather- Runs the guild and is active in all facets.
Rank 2 (AGM) Consigliore- Helps run the guild specializing in a specific area. (scum, war, etc.) Should something happen to the Godfather, the Consigliore of War takes over the guild.
Rank 3 (High Member) Boss- Members who have earned high respect and some responsibility within the guild
Rank 4 (Low Member) Goodfella- Members who are trusted somewhat and may lead squads of Spooks or Thugs
Rank 5 (Rectuit) Wiseguy- A member not yet fully trusted must prove himself to the leadership to gain advancement.
Rank 6 (Probationary) Associate – Hardly a member at all. We may boot ya after the first chat you don't attend. Thugs need to really show promise if they want to become a member of the family.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the guild are simple:
Family
That pretty much says it all. The guild is like a family. As such we have to learn to operate together. We need full participation from all of our members. It is IMPERATIVE. As a member of Family you will be required to participate in war chats unless an acceptable reason is given for not doing so.

1. ATTEND ALL WARCHATS UNLESS YOU HAVE NOTIFIED LEADERSHIP

3. PLAY ACORDING TO THE TYPE REALM YOU HAVE TOLD US YOU WOULD PLAY
