"The skies shall Darken,
The wild beasts shall be calm,
The Dragon's shant roar,
The Northern Kingdom shall fall..."

"One shall venture from the Elven Woods,
He shall travel amongst friends,
He shall bear the power of the Dragon,
And the wisdom of a God..."

"His heart will be pure,
His sword unstained,
and his mind clear..."

"The Saviour has risen..."
-Book of Faloarn Chapter 1: Verse 1

------

It was midnight. The sky was full of stars, and yet, a shadow was cast over the land. The island of Lodoss was at peace...for now.

There was a feeling of evil in the air, and yet, nobody noticed. It was quiet, too quiet. The Counsle of High Elves was aware of this, and were praying to the Gods for peace. It was too late...

An army of Orcs trudged through the dense Elven Woods. They were led by one man, and a human. It was unlikely they wanted peace, fore Orcs lived to fight and faught to live. Orcs were once Elves, but their souls became shrouded by darkness, and they left their mystic and magical ways. They were nothing more than ruthless, careless soldiers. The Dark One was aware of this, and used Orcs to for his own doings.

The army reached a large Elven city, hidden from all of the world. This city was home to the Counsle of High Elves, and it was in danger. Aware of the army at their borders, the Elves of the city banned together. Women and Men alike came together. The male elves took up arms with Bows or Swords, while the females readied any and all magic to use for healing, or fighting.

The human which was leading them was clad in thick black armor, with gold swirls here and there. His cape was stained with , like his sword. He raised the crimson red sword into the air. "My army...ATTACK!"

The army of Orcs charged the city...

The Attack

Postby Char0079 » Sun Oct 20, 2002 5:21 pm

The Orcs charged the city. Most of the houses were made on or inside trees. It was a beautiful city, until the attack.

The Orcs lit fire to the bottom of the trees, causing the Elven buildings to burn in a orange glow. The male elves, attempting to stop the Orcs, charged at the Orcs. The drew their long, thing swords and slashed at the Orcs. The Orcs tough skin protected them from the slashes, with only a few blows actually piercing the skin. The Orcs faught back with their large spiked clubs, and the Elves were losing.

Some of the elves were hidden way up in the trees. They were equiped with large bows. Some of them fired enchanted arrows. While others were just normal arrows. Many lights filled the air as fire, ice, and poison arrows flew down upon the orcs. The arrows proved a bit more effective, but the Orcs kept coming.

Some of the female Elves cast magic. Here and there domes of fire popped up and wiped out orcs ten at a time. Sometimes spikes of ice came from the sky and pierced the orcs torsos. But the most common spell being cast was healing spells, as more and more elves become injured or died. It was truely a sad site.

While many of the elves were being wiped out, two of them were safe and free from harm or care...

"Come on Tai!" A carefree, female voice shouted. She was an elf. She had green eyes, and long blond hair which had two green flowers in it. She wore a white silk dress, with a green tunic. She had a small turqois gem hanging from her neck, and at her side was a long thin sword, and many small cloth bags.

"Why are you in such a hurry, Molly?" A voice answered back. The male Elf had a bit more heavier build than the female. His hair was also blond, but not long. His hair was just in a mess, and seemed to stick out in all directions. He wore green leggings and a white tunic, with a green vest. Hanging from the vest were many small cloth bags. And he too had a long thin sword at his side, and a turqois gem around his neck.

The two of them dashed quickly through the trees. They were heading to their favorite spot, where they could see the entire sky. They finally made. The two of them lied down on the soft green grass. The were close together and didn't speak.

A strange, thick black cloud shrouded the stars on this night. Confused they both stood up. "What is that, Tai?" The female said, with fear in her voice.

"I don't know." Tai said, "Molly, look. The fairies are scared."

Many small fairies were flying frantically in the opposite direction of the cloud. They were scared. Faries enchanted all living things. They only left the thing if an Elf commanded it to, or if the thing had died. And even if they did leave a thing for a breif moment, they were never seen unless you looked very closely in the forests. Something was definatly wrong. Too many things were dieing at the same time in the forest.

Molly and Tai climbed the trees. When they reached the top, they became frightened. They could see now that the city was on fire...
