Heh. Just about anywhere else in the freakin country, and I'd be there ;p As it is, just went back to the parents house in Marion less than two weeks ago, and I can safely say I'll not be back fer awhile ;p Besides, thats my birthday weekend (the 12th). Got parting in New Orleans ;p Have fun, though!!

Building the addition on the house, Chad's broken back, Peyton's braces, new baby on the way, car repairs, doctor bills out the WAZOO!

Chad and I can't make it.

-sniffle-

However, you, Carey, Sockers, Jilu, Gorf, and whomever else wants to swing by is more than welcome to.

Hrrm... Belle, are you suggesting an alternate, simultaneous bash? Both bashes could get webcams and shit going and sorta party together ;p

That would be kinda cool.

However, I won't host something at the same time someone else is hosting a bash.

My idea was more of an alternate idea if necessary.

if I remember right marion is like really close to me, like 1-3 hrs...

I'd be up for it, don't know when but I'll eventually have a job that'll get me some money to get down there...

Under normal circumstances I would try man. But I just took a week off as a result of my dad passing, decided to eat the couple days of unpaid work then count it against future vacation days - will have just enough saved up in time to take off for my birthday and a couple days to take the wife somewhere at the end of june.

Don't think I can swing it, unless I get more vacation time. Won't know until June more then likely.

Is a Cedar Point trip part of the bash?

Most people usually have to scrape to get enough money to even get there, shelling out more dough after the fact isn't normally factored in.

I'll have my season pass, so if nothing else, I'd certainly go.

I think the group rate would be, for more than 15 people, is like $28 per person at least; and this was 2 yrs ago mind you...also it'd be like 20 for food while there as well...unless you can catch a seagull...

it'd also be a 2 hr trip or just 1.5? don't know the exact location of marion in my head...

HDog, I so wish I had one of them and a way to get down there all the time

You guys may want to come up with a new date rather than just announcing this one in early July. It seems like not a lot of people are keen on this date. I personally would love to come, but with me taking the NYS Bar only a week later, it is truly impossible.

sorry guys,..this date is the best I can do.
it may not be a big one, but its ON none the less.
I will miss all who cannot attend.

As Far as Cedar Point,..
Those that wanna go, go its cool!
but I figure most wont be going, its expensive and about 2.5 hours from here.

as far as money, we usualy spend most on alcohol
~Surprise Surprise~
So if you drink, bring money to support your habit!

Food is cheap, and Ill throw a bar-b-cue one evening.
(Hell Ill cook for everyone, groceries are cheap, if everyone throws in, we could cover all the meals very reasonably)
Hotels are cheap, figure $40 a night, split that up anyway you want.

Decae and Family got dibs on the spare room,... of course,
and we have some spare room ~full attic~
so we can work that out on an individual basis.

Don't forget, Paramount's Kings Island is probably about the same distance away, and IMHO, it has better coasters.

Cedar Point keeps building 'em bigger and faster (with longer lines & shorter rides) and they get a new one in the top 10 coasters each year, but PKI has the Beast which has been a top 5 coaster 20 years running, and Son of Beast which is bigger, faster, and badder.

Plus less dirty lake gulls trying to shit on you all day long.

That's half the fun!

But I don't really compare the two parks, since they are completely different.

While CP builds taller faster than any other park in the world. PKI builds things that know one would ever think of. Rides that circle around a basic theme of entertainment. Weather it be movies or television. PKI holds their own when it comes to thrill rides and roller coasters with some of the most innovative in the world.

CP is one of the most breathtaking parks just to look at from far away and just to walk around inside and admire such engineering genius.

We'll have to see what my work schedule is this summer, but Marion is only 2.5 hours away frome me(I'm right next to Cedar Point hehe) so I'd be able to drive down there.

I'll keep that date open for it.

HDog where do you live? I'm jaded because traffic around me is a bitch in the summer because of it. CP passes are evil I rarely go anymore, only to see the chicks at Soak City lol.
<Holden> I'm just here for the chicks.

I live aaalllllll the way down at the southern tip of Ohio, the tip that looks like an anus. But I still manage to head up north so many times a summer that a season pass saves me money.
