This new schedual of mine has been a killer. I've been watching the boards, but havn't had much time to write anything new. I've got a few new ideas, but it might be a few days until I can get them out. I'll try to have at least a post or two up this week if possible. There just arn't enough hours in the day right now, but I'll work something out.

Hey guys,

I was wondering what your thoughts were on closing Land in Chaos 3 to open 4? By that I mean, are we still going to open a new thread after about eighty posts and start Land in Chaos 4, or should we just keep running the one we have, now that the boards can hold the longer threads. I just noticed we were getting close to our old cap, thought I'd mention it.

Might be a good idea to end it at 80. there is no point but for organizational purposes of saving the threads it would be best. Or so are my thoughts on the subject. ;)

Hey Jake,
That sucks about the video card... did you ended up fixing the problem, or is it only a temp fix?

I'm not sure where you cut out, but I know that Kit's computer's down too. She can only get online at work I think, and it won't let her get here. Hopefully that will work itself out sooner or later. Somber's away too, not sure if her labtop's acting up again, but we'll see. I'm sure they'll both be back as soon as they get a chance.

I havn't talked to Irish in a while, I'm not sure if he's still reading the boards... I hope so, but its hard to say.

Right now I think we've got three posts in the works, so it shouldn't be much longer before things start to pick up again. Now its just a matter of getting everyone into the same period of time...

On another note, I was thinking about when you and Somber leave for the Flurin lands, we should keep that departure a secret. Not make it common knowledge... else that information could leak, and well that's not good for anyone. Only the high up and most trusted of us (pretty much the PC party) are in on it, but not the soldiers. We'd have to keep up the illusion that she's still there, which will get harder as time goes with nobody seeing her.
The other option is we let everyone know, and that may sap moral, or it may boost it (depending on how the troops take the news) then we can worry about leaks.

I was also thinking about have a conversation post between Jake and Vaalic before you go. If your interested PM or email me and we can work something out.

As to where the thread is right now for most, we're about to be introduced to Senken. The problem here is this: We've got two dead guards and a wounded boy. We'll undoubtedly search for tracks and find none. Strange. Now Chris will want to know if his camp has been compromised, and if it has we have to move. We can't ever allow the Flurin to find where we are staying. The lack of tracks may suggest an internal struggle within (so we start looking at one another as suspects.) as you suggested earlier i think.

or Vaalic could jump to the conclusion that ShadowRune tracked them down. It has a similar style to his. Sneak in (possibly by the trees as Senken did) and slaughter. If Vaalic suggest this, Senken could play off that and adjust his story acordingly.
The next question if that was the case would be: would Shadow tell the Flurin we're here? Possibly, but his ego might get in the way of doing the practical thing. Vaalic would expect Shadow to attack him, Somber or the others before reporting back to the Flurin. Camp goes on alert and we all stay on edge.

That might give Vaalic another reason to go back to Freeport (one to find Aramis, and two to learn what he can about Shadow) he'll be heading back in a day or two. Probably the morning after tomorow.

Just a couple thoughts anyway. What do you guys think?

Hope the murder investigation works for everyone.
I'll leave it up to Senken to tell his story, if youd like. That might be easier that trying to do it third person, eh.

And I liked the idea for his story, though that may bring in a little skeptecism. Does anyone around here actually know Plato enough to give his story credibility, or would that only be on the Flurin side of it? Just wondering,

Postby Strife L. Leonhart » Wed Mar 16, 2005 5:07 pm

Once again I am going to try to join this story and, hopefully, nothing vital will hender this process. For those of you who remember my character, Strife, I suggest that you take the time to read his Bio once again. He recently, today in fact, went through a drastic change in order to give his character more depth and personality. I do hope you all enjoy!

Real Name: Killian Lu'ar Leonhart
Alias: Strife
Race: Mixed Heritage (Human/Elven)
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 192 lbs
Hair color: Blond
Eye Color: Blue
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius

Occupation: Warrior Mage
Magick Proficiency: Weather Control

Appearance: Killian Leonhart is an average height man of 25. He has short blond hair that falls almost playfully about his features. His general physique is muscular, toned and hints of fighting well, training often and his dashing good looks combined with a boyish charm and charismatic attitude makes him the perfect "knightly" candidate. His facial features are smooth save for one little bit of facial hair on his chin that still seems to only add to his boyish looks. He has deep blue eyes that are almost sapphire in color and always seems to have a playful grin on his face. He can normally be found dressed in various shades of whites, blacks, and grays usually consisting of an undershirt, pants, and a jacket.

Personality: Despite his overall playful persona, Killian is genuinely a very serious person. He is modest, has a positive outlook on life, is full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experience beyond the physically familiar. He enjoys traveling and exploration, the more so because his mind is constantly open to new dimensions of thought. Killian is basically ambitious and optimistic, and continue to be so even when his hopes are dashed. His strongly idealistic natures can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. Killian is honorable, honest, trustworthy, truthful, generous and sincere, with a passion for justice. He is usually on the side of the underdog in society and will fight for any cause he believe to be just, and is prepared to be rebellious. He also balances loyalty with independence.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Long Sword, Long Bow and Staff

Strengths: Do to his mixed heritage, Killian has very keen eyesight as well as elven dexterity. He is a master swordsman and is well trained in the arts of Magick. He is very charismatic, optimistic, freedom-loving, jovial, good-humored, honest, straightforward, intellectual, philosophical and excels at articulating thoughts into productive actions. His skills, like his charm, seem to be magic, because they never let him down.

Weakness: He has a fear of heights and spiders. He also can also be blindly optimistic, careless, irresponsible, superficial, tactless and restless

Special Skills: Killian gains power not by ruling nature but being at one with it. He has the innate ability to manipulate weather. He can stimulate any form of precipitation, generate winds in varying degrees of intensity, raise or lower the humidity and temperature in his immediate vicinity, induce lightning and other electrical atmospheric phenomena, and disperse natural storms so as to create clear change. Strife, like his mother, is also gifted with the unique gift of Animal Empathy.

Background:

Killian Leonhart, son of William and Asheni Leonhart, is the middle child of three boys; Alexander, Killian, and Mathew Leonhart, and is heir to Lu'ar Manor which is situated near the hart of Portsmouth, a thriving trade city located along the cost. At the tender age of 8 Killian began showing the first signs of his forthcoming gifts, the first being his Empathy with animals, and by the age of 14 his unique abilities pertaining weather control began to surface. At the age of 16 he was enrolled into the Portsmouth School of Weaponry and Magick Proficiency, referred to as simply " The Academy." The Academy trains future soldiers and those showing signs of Magick potential in various studies as well as training for Portsmouth most prized assets, the Warrior Mages. Warrior mages are an elite group of mercenaries who are skilled in both physical and metaphysical combative techniques and are sent out as support unites to neighboring cities and countries to help keep peace and order throughout. It was here that Killian learned how to control his gifts and began to excel in both combative and magickal techniques. At the age of 18 he became the youngest student ever to become a Warrior Mage and was later promoted to Captain of the Portsmouth Warrior Mage 1st Division at the age of 23. Unfortunately, his older brother Alexander Leonhart, is now General of the Portsmouth Army and sees to it that his little brother never forgets how he beat the eldest son out as heir to the Leonhart fortune.
