I'm not sure of fp's age or Rak's for that matter, but at the moment I seem to be shaping up to carry that cane Gem, so hand it over you young rapscallion *L* I'm at the quickly ascending age of 22 btw.

And Happy Birthday Rahlan!

Hey, thanks everyone. I finally am caught up with my reading so I'm gonna start typing a post today.

Well, Khavi, I remember being 17 myself. It wasn't that long ago. I think I started writing in Evernight when I was 17. My alts were Lahna Lorik, Yolianna, and now Rahlan. Yep.

w00t, Rahlan's gonna post!

Because the spirit of sharing is spreading around, I'll give you a way of finding out my age.

1. Take the birthday girl's age

2. Subtract the number of capitals in my username

3. Add the number of book titles currently in my signature line

4. Be happy with yourself (the most important step)

Khavi, you may be a whippersnapper but you're a damn good poster, better than most. My Mordraken acct. started several (I'll look up exactly when) years ago. This acct. is more recent, yet has been on the books for about a year. It's not your age that matters, it's your maturity.

Well, I'm not necessarily one to talk about maturity...

I agree with Fp. Seriously Khavi, the way you write would put people ten years your senior to shame. I feel pretty darn humbled.

And as for maturity. Fp what does that word mean :P *L*

Haha, I started posting on Evernight when it was still Monarchy, when Temper's Ball was Braggart's Hall.

I've been Khavi the entire time.

I was like 12 or something the first time I popped up. That's like five years worth of this. Geeeeeeze.

And since we're throwing house remodeling into FULL SWING and now we're adding 'Inside and Outside Lanais' to the list of Thing to Paint and Refurnish, and I just spent the last hour and a half scraping paint off the sills... I am definitely going to be a rare sighting for a while.

Mr. Dyre, I leave Buzz in your able hands, because my grandmother comes next week which means everything is pure and utter chaos. I've got six minutes to eat this sandwhich and then it's primer-time.
I was so mad, I could have chewed up nails and spit out paper clips.

Eep. Okay. Umm. well I guess I should probably work on another post then. But let me know if anything that's posted doesn't sound right. And have fun with the redecorating

I guess this'll give everybody more time to catch up anyways.

Yes, Rahlan and I will be having plenty of fun to keep the thread alive. And I imagine Strife will join the party too. Plus, Senor Dyre, we get to have fun once I'm done with the Rahlan/Strife convo, so *laughs manaically* I know for a FACT that will be a pretty odd sight to have Josh and the mentally unstable Alastor/Donovan face to face. Can't wait to see it happen.

The more you worry about growing old, the faster you get wrinkles.

I just made that up. It's now copyrighted. I get a nickle every time you look at that phrase. w00t.

*L* at Gem. Old fart?

And Fp, I'm pretty sure that meeting will be an interesting one indeed. Especially after the latest revelation comes to light. Things are never all as they seem. Mykayla knows a few details. But you'll have to wait and see.

((edit)) good quote. Growing old doesn't bother me. Dying does. Probably because I doubt any after-life would accept a hell-raiser like me *L* j/k.

*steals the cane from Rak and gives it to Cricket* She might kill me for pointing it out...but she needs this more than you. *giggles* Kinda funny since your characters don't reflect the age relationships of the writers at all.

And yes...Mykayla knows stuff about most of the characters posting (except the spacy ones). I'm supposed to know most everything though. It's Laila's job, and if people don't tell me stuff, she can't know everything.

Which reminds me...if your character has any 'secret' type information, please run it by me through PM. Laila doesn't give out the best information unless WHOLE LOADS of money are involved, so if you think it's too top secret for her to have (she's got high up informants in all groups...keep that in mind) or you don't want her revealing that to any 'clients' let me know. I just need to have information so I can build Laila's files.

*breaks the cane* There shall be no further wacking. *heals all present*

And I shall indeed wait and see. I prefer to not know so much as we go through this so I'll actually be surprised. Mmm, I believe I hear the sound of a plot shifting without a clutch.

And I have no problem with the afterlife; I get to become Raphael's apprentice in Heaven. w00t schmoos. (Raphael's the angel of healing, BTW) Though I wouldn't mind having wings in some other color than white, it'd go kinda nicely with all black.

....does our city have a name?

Just curious, because all we ever say is 'the city' and 'our city' and 'in the city' and 'downtown...'

So I was just wondering. Just in in case I missed it before. *crosses eyes*

Whatever happened to Nick and Nanana....BINK?

And, this is the closest I could find on the city, I think we just had a big discussion about what it was like:

1. Layout of the city: If anyone's played Final Fantasy 7, it's similar to the starting city, Midgar. If you haven't, it's broken down into 16 sectors, 8 Inner and 8 Outer. The Inner ones have higher numbers than the Outer ones (in other words, Outer = 1-8, Inner = 9-16). Outer sectors are darker, more slum-like, inner ones are higher-class. There's kind of a blend on the border between the inner and outer sectors where the middle class is. Also note that this city is plenty vast enough for people to fit about anything they need into it, though you don't have to. There are other so-called Mega Cities (popcorn to the people who know where this is from) dotted around the continent.

Thanks to Rak for perpetuating my laziness...

And Latis/Gem for exposing me to the word "lurvely"...

And I also haven't the slightest clue in hell what the city's name is. I don't even have a legit name for the government. I'm a terrible person...

If you really want to name the city yourself, I'll be flexible. Hell, you can do the same with most things I haven't explicitly named yet. If you want to name it, go ahead, I can't think of something specific right now.

Midgar is obviously out...

BINK has been busy with his work stuff lately, but he's been trying to keep an eye on the thread to see where he would best fit. He hasn't really seen an ideal opening for his two characters, and frankly isn't too interested in RP'ing alone. *smiles* He'll post when he has the time though.

Heeeey...I've been in lurve with things forever...and I'm older than her...she must have stolen it from me!!! *giggles*

-tickles Mykayla-

I'm not bashful bout my age, but I have finally reached a point where I stop giving an exact number (well unless asked directly). :P

Since I'm supposed to be from outside the city itself (wasteland, outland, whatever the heck it is called), I've been kinda assuming it is sorta like wilderness type area where a lot of dangerous things go that aren't allowed in the city. Am I right? Reason I'm asking is because if it is supposed to be more like the outer city and slum like, then I shouldn't be having her be so surprised at some of the stuff she's seeing. lol
