Anyone around the Portsmouth, Ohio area that is going to the bash and wouldn't mind a companion? I just can't afford the gas by myself, but with someone else, it would be possible.

As I have no true estimate concerning how many will be using a hotel, my yard, or my house/floor/cots/garage/toilet while passed out - I cannot get a group rate. However, this hotel is very close to me if you must have room to sleep.

Arthur, I live about a half hour from you, although I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. So feel free to make other plans, but I'll let you know as soon as I know one way or another. :)

When is it too late to let you know I am coming? I might not know until a few days before.....

If I do come, I will have 2 tents. Also, I live between Dulles and National airports in DC, so I could pick people up from either one. Also, I have a 'different' work schedule and am home by 11am est or so M-F, so I could be of help for some.

Damn...Just saw the list of folks attending...I reckon I better ask Liv if she can get away for that weekend. (and start tryin to work a little magic at my job so I can break away as well.)

Anybody here who has Liv's cell number, make sure to hound her about this (since she doesn't put much stock in what I say after 5 years...LOL) Anyone who knows her and doesn't have it, PM me and I'll give it to you so you can harass/belittle her into going.

*calls Liv to start bugging her about the bash*

You 2 must come!

If you can get here, you both can ride down with skeets and I if you want.

Considering Rune can't go....I'm all by me lonesome in my car. l would opt to fly down, but prices by this time would be too high. Anyone from remotely close to NY that I could meet up with and split the driving time? There's no way I can miss this.

Edit - This isn't the edit you're looking for. Move along.

Jilu dearest, I drive for a living. I drive every day, and considering i have no time left to take from work....I'm leaving Fri evening after work, and would rather not be driving until midnight if I can help it. So far the best prices I've found are $194 round-trip from Rochester to Dulles. Syracuse to Dulles was about $50-$75 higher.

We'll just have to see, now won't we? But my question still stands, is there anyone making airport runs? 'cause now that I see that the price isn't as horrendous as I thought I may fly down afterall, save a lot of time, and probably just as much in gas.

Aria, thanks much for the offer, but I'm going to fly, i've decided. I can afford it, and it means I can stay longer, considering I don't have to figure in lots of driving before and after. And i'm such a dolt, I also forgot that Monday is Columbus Day, which means that I don't have to be up bright and early :-D

I wonder if we can talk Rathowen into making us some nice badges for this bash since we have so many new people coming.

We love you Rath.

I've updated the list. Please, if you are NOT coming and are on that list, let me know. If you ARE coming and are not on the list, let me know.

I'm getting a couple kegs so I'm trying to anticipate how many will be there, and how many I'll need (what size really).

Again - space will be limited, so be sure to bring a sleeping bag/tent/cot or be prepared to share one. It's a family gathering - so we'll be cozy :>
