Blue Moon, You Saw Me Standing Alone (OOC)

Postby The Woman » Wed Apr 30, 2003 6:17 am

Greetings to All.

Firstly...

To any who wish to join the rp, you are more than welcome to, for as long as the story continues. Please ensure that your entrance into the storyline 'fits', the story at your point of entry. If unsure, post here first or private message me.

Now, on to the rest....

Blue Moon is intended to be a story with a mystery at the center of it. The woman has lost her memory. How? She does not know. She seeks to know her past before her past catches up with her. She has invited random people to her new home to this end, from all over the country. She knows none of them...or does she. If she does, she does not realise she does. To entice people to accept her invitation, she is holding a tournament and a festival which will last the better part of a month. She has also declared that she is looking for a husband and will entertain suitors during the festival. Her land holdings look to be quite rich.

The mystery is solvable and clues will be written into the story as it progresses. Be on the lookout for them. All clues have been taken from the past history of the character and will have been found in previous rp threads throughout the woman's history. You are welcome to use any means to solve the mystery, including talking to long time community members, ooc, regarding what you think are clues.

I hope that you do discover the woman's identity and reveal it to her. How or why you do so is of course up to you and your character. You could discover she is a bitter foe and you will wish to harm or destroy her. You could possibly have been a friend or ally. You may discover her identity but still know nothing about her. Time will tell.

Please know that you, who were invited to join the rp, may not have been done so specifically because you know the woman. You may or may not know her. People have been invited for various reasons, not the least of are talent and my enjoyment of your writing.

From this central plot, I am sure others will be created. I encourage this. The woman's story is not the only one to be told. Feel free to expand your characters and their stories within the setting of this rp. I look forward to reading them and interacting with you.

Please use this thread for question or discussion.

As the time for the tournament draws nigh, the format of the tournament will be posted here, as well as matches, so you may prepare.

Remember, especially during the tournament, that we must have both winners and losers. I trust God moding shall not rear it's ugly head.

Oh.. of course you may discuss clues in this thread as well. Feel free. I won't be able to comment on those of course.

After much careful digging, I have discovered the secret identity of our mystery woman.

She is...

THE CIA SHOOTER ON THE GRASSY KNOLL!!!
That's right, she's the one who really killed Kennedy. For years she was wracked with grief, but at long last she decided to come out from the shadows and tell the truth of the evil government plot which took the life of one of our best loved presidents.

Of course, I might want to check the evidence gathered one more time...

"Actually I'm almost positive that I do know who it! It is none other than..."
A faint whisp of air was heard and the man suddenly turned his head to look in the direction of the noise, but it was to late, he felt a sharp prick in the side of his neck. Immidiately time seemed to slow for him and his vision blurred. He reached up in a rather uncooridated fashion and pulled the dart from his neck. He looked at in with confusion until he collapsed in a heap on the ground.

(ICQ me eh... well unless you are actually not who I think you are.)

*grins* This thread promises to be very interesting. Though I am fairly certain who our hostess is an alt of at the very least, or rather I know of another thread which spoke of a woman who lost her memory and was found with a sword with the name 'Lorenthia Wolf'.

Anyway as I said in the RP thread I will not be around for the next few days, but I shall rp again as soon as I can next week. I'll try to catch up with everyone else then.

Hum. I thought I'd give a (brief) description of my character, as I'll probably never get around to doing it roundaboutly in the RP. Christoph Kehlsivahd is an obvious nobleman, with black hair and gray eyes - the eyes are a family trait, and the only evidence of his line's faerie blood that can be seen. Unusually keen eyesight and almost empathic perception are the only traits he has inherited from his fae ancestor. He also has a somewhat unique attribute, which he is unaware of (and this is my reason for posting it here, as it's somewhat difficult to roleplay an ability that the character has no knowledge of). For reasons unknown except to his twin, Aimee, Christoph is imbued with an aura of antimagic; magic cannot affect him, and magical energies of all kinds 'curve' to avoid him. He is perceived by those able to sense such things as being empty, not alive, or not even real, depending on the nature of their sense, as this magical curve masks magical attempts to view him. It should be noted that he is still subject to all physical aftereffects of magic, but not energy-based ones. Most possessors of magical powers will feel slightly uncomfortable around him, and often his close proximity (a.k.a. touch) will cause his aura to extend to others for the duration of the proximity.

As an aside, I'd like to extend a thanks to whomever Lorenthia is for the invite - it's been awhile since I've written here, but I'm glad to be doing so again.
