Hey man, good to see you.

Sorry to hear about the room mate deal. Sounds like more of a headache than it's worth.

As for anything major that you missed? Somber and Jake are now on their journey. The Faith army is in the middle of attacking the Flurin slave mines. And it won't be long after the mines (I'm guessing) that you and Vental will stage your coupe, and permenantly remove the general from office.
Oh, and he dragons made a secret non-combat alliance without anyone else knowing about it.

Something like that I think.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you back. Let me know if you need anything.

And welcome back Strife. Our player numbers are finally getting back up there. I'm looking forward to seeing where the thread's going to take us.

Postby Strife L. Leonhart » Sun Sep 17, 2006 8:59 pm

Thanks for the welcome. Well, once again here are my character's stats just to refresh everyone.

Real Name: Killian Lu’ar Leonhart
Alias: Strife
Race: Mixed Heritage (Human/Elvin)
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 192
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Sapphire Blue
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius

Occupation: Captain of the Warrior Mage’s 1st Division
Magick Proficiency: Weather Control and Animal Empathy

Appearance:

Killian Leonhart is an average height man of 25. He has short blond hair that falls almost playfully about his features. His general physique is muscular, toned and hints of fighting well and training often. Striking good looks and an eye-catching smile combined with a boyish charm and charismatic attitude makes him the perfect “knightly” candidate. His facial features are smooth save for one modest bit of facial hair situated along his chin that still seems to only add to his boyish charm. His eyes are hypnotic; sapphire blue in color and he almost always seems to have an amiable grin on his face. He can normally be found dressed in various shades of whites, blacks and grays usually consisting of an undershirt, pants and a jacket

Personality:

Despite his overall playful persona, Killian is genuinely a very serious person. He is modest and has a positive outlook on life. He is full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experiences beyond the physically familiar. He enjoys traveling and explorations largely because his mind is constantly open to new dimensions of thought.

Killian is basically ambitious and optimistic and continues to be so even when his hopes are dashed. His strongly idealistic nature can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. Killian is an honorable man. Honest, trustworthy, generous, sincere, truthful to a fault with a passion for justice. He is usually on the side of the underdog in society and will fight for any cause he believes to be just and is prepared to be rebellious. He is the type of man that balances loyalty with independence.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Bo Staff

Strengths: Do to his mixed heritage Killian has very keen eyesight as well as Elvin dexterity. He is well versed in the art of the Bo Staff and is extremely skilled in the use of his Magickal gifts. He is very charismatic, optimistic, freedom-loving, jovial, good-humored, honest, straightforward, intellectual, philosophical and excels in articulating thoughts into productive actions. His skills, like his charm, seem to be magick because they never let him down.

Weakness: Killian can be blindly optimistic, careless, irresponsible, superficial, tactless, and restless. He also has a nearly paralyzing fear of heights and spiders.

Special Skills: Killian gains power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. He has the innate ability to manipulate weather. He can stimulate any form of precipitation, generate winds in varying degrees of intensity, raise or lower the humidity and temperature in his immediate vicinity, induce lighting and other electrical atmospheric phenomena, and disperse natural storms so as to create clear change. Also, each of the Leonhart children was gifted with a distinct form of empathy. Killian, like his mother, was blessed with the unique gift of Animal Empathy. This allows Killian to understand and communicate with animals as well as project his own feelings or emotion onto an animal.

Background:

Killian Lonehart, son of William and Asheni Leonhart, is the middle child of three boys: Alexander, Killian, and Matthew Leonhart. He is heir to Leonhart Manor, which is situated near the heart of Portsmouth, a thriving trade city located along the cost.

At the tender age of 8, Killian began showing the first signs of his forthcoming gifts, the first being his empathy with animals. At the age of 14, his unique abilities pertaining to weather control began to surface. At the age of 16, Killian was enrolled into the Portsmouth School of Weaponry and Magick Proficiency, referred to as simply “The Academy.” The Academy trains future solders and those showing signs of magick potential in various studies to perfect their interest as well as trains Portsmouth’s most prized assets, The Warrior Mages.

Warrior Mages are an elite group of mercenaries who are skilled in both physical and metaphysical combative techniques. Their main job is to protect the city of Portsmouth but they can be hired out as support unites for neighboring cities and countries to help keep peace and order throughout. It was here at the Academy that Killian learned how to control his gifts and began to excel in both combative and magickal techniques.

At the age of 18, Killian became the youngest student ever to become a Warrior Mage and was later promoted to Captain of the Portsmouth Warrior Mage 1st Division at the age of 23. Unfortunately, his brother, Alexander Leonhart, is now General of Portsmouth’s military forces and sees to it that his little brother never forgets how he beat the eldest son out as heir to the Leonhart fortune.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay on the postings. I had more CORE training over the weekend, which was great. Nine hours of knife fighting, gun disarms, and close quarter combat. But now every muscle hates me, and my wrists are pretty banged up. I just havn't had the drive to sit down behind the keyboard. I'll try to have a post for the thread done for tomorow evening sometime.

And Shadow, I'll have some additions to our combo for you by then as well. And the same goes for you too Somber. I'll try to have something more for you by tomorow sometime.

Talk to you guys later.

Sorry for the delays guys, this Xmas season has made finding some time to write difficult. Things should be picking up shortly. From what I understand Shadow and Jurrett will be coming up next. I think Strife has something in the works, and so does Khell, and Nuanni. Ruakha will have a small post up soon too I think. Once we get over this little hurtle things should be well on their way.

And there we go. Hope everyone enjoyed that! ;) Just a little reminder. We are closing in on 80 posts in the story thread. Almost time to start Land in Chaos 5 (A new record for us!).

Cheers!

Hey Guys,

Just a few notes on my last post. Just for reference.

As Vental is the one planning to overthrow Ruakha (Which will be happening in the very near future) and also been the one assigned to find the person behind the conspiracy things are a little more skewed than Ruakha's observations would show.

It's believed that Caamar (some high ranking Flurin guy) is the head conspirator. He's actually under Vental. The man that she has interrogated is going to actually be Ruakha's spy that hasn't checked in for a while. Caamar is still in hiding until the General is overthrown. Then he'll come out with the big surprise.

Just wanted to keep everyone on the same page with the thoughts on that one.

Keep up the good work guys

Whoops! A little bit late on the Nuanni post eh? Ah well. Though I was thinking, maybe you should expand it just a little to include the soldiers getting jumpy or confused as Shadow whips out of the fort?

Post by Warren coming soon. Heh. Who will be needing a few days rest after this.

So, besides the few still inside the camp, and the little pocket of resistance near the hill (where Khell and Jasmine are), does that about wrap up the mines?

Yeah, the post from us was a little behind... but it took till now to figure out something to do. haha... This whole neutrality pact between the dragons makes it difficult to find something interesting to do. We'll have to figure something out though.

Sure, I had forgotten about Shadow's sprint from the fortification. I'll see if I can do that later tonight when I get a little time. I guess that would be the kind of thing the soldiers would get worked up over, eh.

But other than the Flurin soldiers waiting in the camp, who will most likely leave without further bloodshed (or at least not all that much more) with their leader already gone there really isn't that good of a reason to be throwing their lives away here.

The group that is fighting on the hill with Jasmine and Khell I'd imagine would be the first group of soldiers that thought it would be a good idea to slip away from a now-useless battle. But who could pass up the change to take some cheap shots on some abandoned enemy troops? We can't really blame them, can we?

All in all I think that will pretty much wrap things up here. We do need to destroy the mine entrance though. I know Strife said he was planning something with that, but if not Nuanni should be more than capable of blasting some stone. Just more dramatic if the weather mage can have a little fun too.

Alright everyone, I've added to my last post, incorporating the duel and Shadow's departure. I hope that works, and we should be good to get on our way.

Hey guys,

Well I had completly forgot that I had this alt made. Now I don't need to post his exploits through Vaalic.

For those that don't remember him from earlier, Domianos is a veteran soldier and the age of a grandpa. His left hand was severed years ago, which forced his retirement as a Captain from the Faith army.

The reason he is here now is two fold. The first is that he gives us the opportunity to keep an eye on Aramis and what he's doing inside the city, as well as the fact that he was Vaalic's original sword combat trainer. There is a lot of trust already there between the two even though they havn't seen each other in years. That may come to play later, we'll have to see.
There are always battles to be fought.
I'm just looking for one worthy enough to die in.

Right-o. Next poster should open #5. I didn't think Warren's post was very large for an opener, so I just tacked it on to 4. I just had to get him somewhere safe before the main fight broke out...

Just to let everyone know I'll be opening the Land in Chaos 5 as soon as I get this post done.

Congrats on the progress guys.

You know... sometimes I have no idea how I get myself into these situations... Well, I'm screwed. Guess I got to wait a bit to see how things play out. Being trapped like that probably wasn't the most ideal way that little scene could have gone down... but then I guess nothing ever works out the way the characters would prefer.

OKay Guys, I'll be writting up a post tonight, as soon as I get a chance. I'll try to incorporate much of what's happened and get the forces moving again. Then we can all go onto the next big nail bitting plot point.

Geez Khell you do manage to get yourself stuck in sticky situations.. Now I have to go and save your sorry ass again from the bad guys..

Isn't it supposed to be the man coming and saving the damsil in distress and saving the day, not the other way around? 8)

C'mon give me a little credit... I mean, I wasn't the one to abandon my allies in some mine tunnels... but I won't say any names
*cough*Jasmine*cough*

But on the other hand, I like to have a little challenge... and getting myself captured and tortured, or stuck in a tree surrounded by the enmy would probably count as "a challenge".

But thank you for the timely rescue... it could have been a very long night otherwise. Now, any thoughts on where we'll take our little duo next?

Yes that's right.. You would have had a very lonely and cold night all by yourself up in that tree.. You wouldn't have been able to sleep since they would have got ya when you were sleeping :P But hey if whips and chains are your thing and that's why you're looking for a challenge then hey that's your business :)

Next for us? Time to get healed up, we are all pretty beaten up, bruised, cut, and I still have that huge gash on my head that isn't feeling so hot.. Time to head back to camp and rest up for a while and see where the next adventure takes us..

As tempting as a sleepless night awaiting the angry mob sounds, I think I'll opt for the quick rescue...
Whips and chains aren't so bad... but only when its wanted. And I'd prefer something a little more five star. Not so many rats.

Yeah I guess getting fixed up would be a good idea. Leave it to Khell to fall for the girl with the head injury, hehe...

I was thinking, maybe Khell and Jasmine could lead some of the groups from the camp to Faith Hills. The slaves that can't fight and women and children. They could possibly be responsible for trying to recruit reinforcements from Faith Hills and the other surrounding cities. Maybe work with Serah to get something done on that end. Get some supplies in here in case our army has to wait out the winder.

Sounds good to me, hooray for top secret missions.. Well not really top secret actually, it's something that has already been happening but we are just special enough to be assigned to it.. But what are the chances that things won't go as smoothly as they hoped? :) And I don't want to be around tried and cranky children for that long either..

You two are moving so quickly ahead that I felt as though I had to push a post out as Dravven to catch up, and give you both a little company. Shadow's is going to take forever, so this will do for now I hope.

Well don't blame me, it's Vaalic's fault :) I have to be the one that hears him bugging me to post everytime he does ;) He is a writing machine I tell you! And since I see him everyday I can't really hide from him if I don't do a post.. :P I actually had no idea that you wanted Dravvven to join us otherwise we could have waited a bit longer, but this works just as well :) Did you have any major plans for the escorts to Faith?

It would be awfully exciting if we get a little visit from Mr. Lenox. He has been... missing, for a while now.

If you see him every day, I wonder why he doesn't share my musings with you. Hmmmm. I should talk to you directly, and you can give him the important information if you deem it necessary. Heh. ;)

Anyways I think this ends the writers block I've been having the past couple months. I just need to find the time now hahaha!

I have heard some ideas of what is going to happen with the story as a whole, but not much about Khell and Jasmine really.. Kind of taking it as it comes it felt like for me.. Jasmine and Khell do not have dragon training so that's where Dravven definitely comes in handy :)

But it actually might be a good idea to relay some ideas to me too, I have been known to be his day planner many times since he forgets what he has to do for upcoming days or appointments :P (He got a palm pilot for either christmas or his birthday before but he still forgets or doesn't use it and he has people check with me if he is busy or not haha)..

Hey guys,

Sorry for by brief absence... I haven't had a chance to finish the posts that I've been working on, but there should be something from both Vaalic and Khell coming up in the next day or so... as soon as I can find a few spare moments to finish. I'm already half done one of them, and that was last week, hehe.

Although I've been stupidly busy this past little while things have been going remarkably well. I finished negotiating on a new car... an 06 fully loaded Monte Carlo : )

And I've been training for a kickboxing tournament that I had on the weekend. I ended up getting a silver medal (2nd Place) in the men's heavyweight division. I ended up fighting my training partner, and me and him often split victories in the dojo, so it was a good fight. I had a great time, but it was a long day.

Anyway, the posts will be up soon I promise.
