UK Today-Cyberpunk RP OOC

[Tarnfire]

The year is 2067 and the world has changed since the begininning of the century... but much has stayed the same...

This is a Cyberpunk RP I am planning to start soon to try out a RP world I am cmaking for a tabletop RP sytem I am creating. The plot, at least for this first part will be concentrated in the UK of 2067. A UK controlled by the Government.

Welcome to the United Kingdom. Population 40'000'000 and decreasing. The safest place in the world to live! Security cameras are watching you everywhere, satelites recording your every step. A million police officers keeps crime down. Healthcare is free, as long as you are a organ donor, and it's the best in the civilised world.
Welcome to a brave new world!

Technology:

The Web spans the world like a giant spiderweb of information. It can be accesed from almost every point on the globe.
The Web is also a VR meetingplace, and with the right hardware, it's almost like being there in body: Goggles, Full-Face helmets, Compu-Lenses (Contact lens VR projectors), or Neural Jacks (think Matrix) allows you to see, hear or even smell and taste the electronic worlds.

Smart-guns are the most used weapon in todays world, and and the scandinavian company Nokia-Ericsson is the biggest smart-gun manufactor, exporting to the whole world. Old style guns are still used but they are usually illegal due to the fact that it is harder to trace a bullet fired from a normal gun. A smart-gun marks every bullet it fires, which can then easily be traced back to the owner. They can also be locked so they cannot fire at the police or important persons in society. All smart-guns that are legally sold to civilians in the UK are locked in this way.

Web societies:

Hackers - Destroys for the fun of it
Terrorists - Destroys for political or religious reasons
Thieves - Nuff said
Web Spiders - Believes in free trade of information. The "free" part is negotiable
Jack-Heads - Addicts. Spend their intire lives plugged in.
RPers - Roleplayers
