Hey, I'd hate to come where I'm not wanted, but is there any more room for me?
Name: Magnus Silverfalcon, formerly Dreadweaver
Appearence: approx. 5'11", 190, midlength black hair, steel blue eyes, taughtly muscled, tanned skin with many battle scars. Wears a white gi with silver runes sparsely scattered around, tied by a silver karate belt, which has gold runes along it's length, and a white cape. Carries any money he may have, as well as some random tome in a canvas backpack.
Class: Wandering scholar
Race: human
Story/Personaltiy: Born into a life of misery, he is the bastard son of a poor working girl and a corrupt major land owner. As much as his mother tried to raise Magnus, she was unable to, and sent him away to a friend in Astrail. By the time he was six, he was working in the castle as a servant. He was treated as well as any servant could be while still reminded of his place. Another of many dissappointments was suffered at age twelve, when the person he was sent to by his mother was brutally slaughtered in her sleep. Upon finding the mess, he fled the kingdom, thinking perhaps he would be next. He took refuge in a mountain monastery to the east, and learned the secrets of wholeness of body and mind from the monks ans scholars there. He gained an appreciation for books, and exceptional combat prowess from the hand-to-hand fighting instructors. Ten years later, this too came to an end. The monastery was ravaged by vampires, and although they fought bravely, no one was spared the two possible fates: be Turned, or be food. Magnus took the first option, but played as though the Turning hadn't worked, and that he was in fact dead. The monsters left, but for a three days, Magnus sat shaking amidst the bloodied rubble of the former sanctuary. He then rose in the form of a vampire, thirsting for blood. He thought of only one man who deserved the fate of being used for food: the man who had assaulted his innocent mother to bring Magnus into the world. When he got to his old hometown, he found his mother's house. When he went inside, he fell to his knees, head in his hands, weeping tears of blood; his mother's lifeless corpse laid on the ground, looking up towards the cealing. A knife still sat in her chest. Now enraged, Magnus ripped the knife out of her body, and ran to look for his "father", in order to rip him apart. He found the slime in the largest house in the town. It was lit with excitement from a party that looked to have been going on all night.
(Since you asked so nicely, I'll finish my obnoxiously long character story. I think this may be the most I've ever written on one character
His body quivered with rage, and blindly rushed into the mansion, a whirlwind of fists and fury. He knocked some that were in his way into walls and onto ornamental sconces, impaling them. Others he shredded with his unholy bite and brute strength, both magnified by his fighting abilities. Women fainted, or screamed, and even the bravest men would not stand in the path of Magnus's rampage. Eventually, he did find his father, upstairs, oblivious to what had happened to his guests. The man turned away from his makeup mirror to look at Magnus, and shouted in indignation, "What is the meaning of this?! Get out of my room, you...you..." He then went pale, as he realized the volume of blood that streaked Magnus's face and clothes.
"You what? You MONSTER? YOU HAVEN'T THE DAMNED RIGHT TO CALL ANY OTHER THING A MONSTER, YOU PITIFUL MORTAL!!" Magnus gripped the man's throat, and lifted him off his stool, shouting in his iced fleshed face. "DO YOU REMEMBER 22 YEARS AGO, WHEN YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AN INNOCENT WOMAN?! DO YOU?!" The man barely had the courage to shake his head side to side. "WELL, I'M HERE TO TAKE REVENGE FOR HER, AS THE BASTARD SON YOU LEFT BEHIND!!" The man gasped, and Magnus latched his jaw onto his father's arm, sucking it dry, slowly, keeping his victim alive and suffering throughout the ordeal. The vampiric fighter then threw the man on the bed, and ripped a shard of the mirror off the wall, shoving it in the man's chest. He screamed painfully, loudly, and at great length. Then, Magnus left. He was done watching the wretch suffer. He ran out into the surrounding forest, and as vampires do not tire, he kept running to work off the immense meal of blood he had just taken in. It wasn't long until he reached a cool, serene pool of water. He bathed in it, scrubbing the blood out of his clothes and off of his skin. By now, he instinctively knew it was near sunrise, and needed a place to sheild himself from the sun. A nearby cave would suffice, and it did. Taking up a lotus position, he began to meditate, but his thoughts were plagued by the images of the old man's writhing body, and of his mother's, and of his aunt's, and of his
sensei's. He kept hearing his
sensei say his immortal words,
There is little time when you can control your demons. There is infinite time when your demons to control you. Ultimate power comes when you let yourself and your demons live within you in balance. Yes. Balance is the key, he said to himself.
From that point on, he kept himself on a strict regimine of living only on the blood of those already passed on, or of those who were willing, and then only if they were not enticed by him in any way. He meditated during the day, taking control over his body as he had in life to attempted to overcome the handicap of light sensitivity. He once again became the scholar his
sensei admired.
He now does bodyguard and bounty hunter work in and around the kingdom of Astrail, asking mostly for books and food, rarely riches or land.
(Whew)
Strengths: Becoming more and more proficient with Spirit Magick, vast knowledge
Weaknesses: no longer has the "natural" strengths of Vampires, still chased by Scythe and other Vampires
Special: Wields Spirit Magick, a little known Eastern magick that deals with the summoning and focusing of ancestral spirits and etheral energy
