The letter's still there on my wall,
Promises in blue,
Smudged where my tears fell,
The day we were through.

This man you thought you knew,
Was really just a kid,
Scared of your touch,
Ashamed of what I did.

I'm sorry,
For all the times I said goodbye,
if only I could take back,
Every lie.
And make it better.

I saw that smile upon your face,
In my memory,
It was often lost,
At each page of our bitter story.

Why did I do it?
Cause daddy never loved his son,
How could I ever let that shit,
Be turned on my only one.

I'm sorry,
For all the times I said goodbye,
if only I could take back,
Every lie.
And make it better.

I saw you with that guy.

Guess you love him now.

I understand why.

Cause he treats you good,
Tells the truth,
Trusts you.

He's nothing like me.
I'm an expert on shakespeare,
And that's a hell of a lot,
But the world don't need scholars,
As much as I thought.

Not a clue Somber, I was thinking a bluesy kinda backing track, but I can't seem to make it fit propally, it works in the verses, but the chorus and the ending.. well...

*L* It's only an attempt anyways.

Rose and Child.

Postby Joshua Dyre » Thu Sep 16, 2004 6:38 pm

Scarlet your lips and,
Golden your hair,
It was heavenly that lullaby
That took me unaware
I take faith in that memory,
One moment of bliss,
That was stolen away,
Like the night's tender kiss.

And now I'm lost like a child...
And you're a rose pure and wild...
And I take every chance that I get....
But the thunder still has you,
And I can't forget.

Pure blue your eyes and,
Naked your love,
That you offered as a remedy,
A blessing from above.
This bitter-sweet melody,
Remembers you still,
It echoes with your passion,
As I never will.

And now I'm lost like a child...
And your a rose pure and wild...
And I take every chance that I get....
But the thunder still has you,
And I can't forget.

You took all the laughter away.
And all of the love till that day,
And each tender little moment
Throughout our romance,
From the first classroom note,
To our last slow dance.

Lost like a child.
Rose pure and wild.

Rose and Child up for comment now as well.. I'm feeling that it'd be probably a solo track with some kind of simple acoustic guitar loop. It'd definately require someone with a better voice than me anyways. *L* Be as cruel as you like  I'm no songwriter.
