It all boiled down to why people prefer to use a spoon instead of an axe or a sword to kill someone...

because it will hurt worse...and the fact that the scout in the DB was just hilarious to look at you had a total of 108 built structures...that was like the best PL job I've ever done lol

I do not know but there should be some rule against extended vacation in this version of the game

Oddly enough, when I was in vacation in LQS I before the game started, my vacation did not save me from the attacks of other kingdoms when the game did actually start.

I would be pissed to learn that it actually protects you in LQS III.

At the same time ... if it takes special coding and stuff, I would say, "Give the admin some time."

From what I hear, they are both very busy people.

Actually its not just in LQS. Im not playing in LQS though but i play Massacre.

I've been on top for 3days and having a kingdom with 30million NW. I was active all the time and on the 4th day, someone appeared out of nowhere who has 400mill NW. That's almost more than 10 times my NW and he ate me and got almost 20k turns out of me. Then i planned all my retaliation. I let a day pass so that he'll not be active when i attack. When the day comes when i was prepared to retaliate, built about 40k of temples using Sidhe. When i was about to sorc kill him, i stop for almost about 5mins for some reason and when i attacked again, a message appeared, "That target is under protection of Barnabas for the time being."

So what does that mean? It only mean two things, the kingdom is in NPP or in Vacation. At that time, i was the only one out of NPP and of course the 400million NW kingdom. So, no one could actually attack him except me. I don't think he died, i don't think someone killed him and i don't think he reset his kingdom because you cant reset when you are under attack.

I think going on Vacation Mode can actually protect your kingdom.

Well, these are my two thoughts:

1 - I thought we were only able to vacation our realm once every age?

2 - When we had peace for 4th of July, LQS still retained in-game war functions. I feel vacation should be the same.

I don't think so, especially since I took vacation twice in one age.

I just don't think that vacation should effect games like LQS or Massacre.

But again, the coding may be more of the issue there and who knows what that would take.

I repeat like I usually do: I do not know anything about coding so I always put a caveat in there that this game, a free game none of us pay for, may have a hard time installing a new code right away, so let us not bitch too much.

Doesn't matter, vacation shouldn't be an option in LQS or Massacre. Last age someone popped out of nowhere when it was down to 4 people too. Thats busch league.

If you're going on vacation then sit the round out, you tools.

I submit that pearla and toopa of the quad IloveDysh (SSG) have won this age
2 quads have come out of vacation at the end after an extended absence
they should not be considered the winners regardless of rank at the end
SSG and my 2 unquaded doms are the only ones left who have fought the age out against the hordes
congrats pearla and toopa on an age well fought

I have been on vacation maybe 4 times this/last age, been in the middle of a serious transition with a new job. Sometimes i have gone home for the weekend and sometimes i have not, i would also have to agree with the vacation thing not working for LQS and massacre i guess....though i do not play massacre. Really not fun at all to come back and have nothing you can really do to win the age other then finish off the poeple that had no chance anyways.....probably like the people that seem to be complaining here. As far as vacation saving you....alot of the time plenty of damage is done between the time you go on vacation and midnight when it kicks in....not only that but sometimes from what i have hear you pop out of vacation randomly for short stints. Not really 100% sure what that is...

(Caveat: I saw Kaz's post.)

I nominate Steven as a winner for this age no matter how it finally turns out.

And now I know of two yellow belly players...I held my word when the first sap came out of hiding, then another...and it became painfully obvious; Those players who violate the vacation mode...well I got a special spot for you...under my foot.

As for "most damage is done before midnight". Ok hows this then...I play my realms at 2300 gametime and slip into vacation 30 minutes later...most damage done before midnight is a load of crap...

Recommend a realm goes into vacation in LQS it cannot come out of vacation if there is less then 50 realms left for the rest of the age...besides if your going into vacation your RL should be more important then ...a few imaginary realms...

I agree,

Consider the age finished as - with Grunt not quaded - there is only one quad that can call itself the last quad standing.

I have killed of the vacated realms to ensure a fair ranking for the HoF. Next time the ranks update I'll reset LQS III as completed.

Since it has not already been addressed, I will do so now. Bull shit. Yes, it sucks you have had work issues. Yes, it sucks for you because your gaming will be hindered here in LQS. No, that does not mean a game based on time left alive (Last Quad Standing) should have to suffer having fully built kingdoms popping out of nowhere.

Nymphsong was nicer, suggesting you still get a shot to come back before it is down to the final 50.

I am not that nice. I think vacation should just not be allowed.

As I said before, I went on vacation before the first LQS. My kingdoms were annihilated when I came back. I didn't even whine or care. These ages are so fast, it doesn't really matter. All that means is: It wasn't my age to win. I was back for the next two and did pretty well last age. Sucked it up hardcore this age.

I blame Calis/Steven/Dysh's super alliance. Seriously, possibly the most clever thing I have seen thus far.

Either way, want to survive even though you are busy? Get good allies, let them know what is going on in RL, and have them protect your ass until you can get on again.

Vacation does not belong in LQS.

Massacre ... sure why not.

And so ends age 3.

Age 4 is up and set to kick of on Friday the 22nd

The nightly vacation script has also been changed to ensure that kingdoms in the Massacre and LQS games are not vacated, to avoid any future repetitions of last minute changes to the ranks.
